The witness pulled off the road at night for a bathroom break while driving home with family. After hearing noise in the woods, he saw a face only a few feet away in the car lights and then fled in the car. His daughter, watching from the front seat, also reportedly saw the face.

Two rode a fourwheeler back toward the house for a lighter and, after hearing sounds, saw a dark figure run by in the woods before fleeing to the house. The witness family was bank fishing after dark while their daughter imitated owls. An owl flew closely past them, immediately followed by an extremely loud, chest-vibrating roar from nearby cover that lasted several seconds. Frogs and insects went silent for a time, then slowly resumed, and the family left shortly afterward.
Bear hunter has sighting while approaching bait site
The witness and a companion were resupplying a bear bait site on foot when they heard branches breaking upslope and saw a piece of tree fall. About 400 yards away on a ledge they saw a tall dark bipedal figure leaning against a broken tree. The witness watched it for 15-20 seconds before it stepped quickly into the treeline, and noticed a rancid odor near the bait site.
Possible camp stalking in Jones Valley, Lake Shasta
Late at night while sitting by a nearly out campfire, the witness heard branches breaking at decreasing distances and then very heavy bipedal-sounding footsteps approaching. After waking a companion, both heard a few more steps before the sounds stopped. Nothing was seen because it was dark and the source was in trees. No footprints were searched for the next day.
Possible daylight encounter by a rural resident south of Sturgeon Bay
The witness was walking back from the mailbox in the afternoon when she heard deep man-like grunts and thumping from a brush thicket beside the driveway. She saw part of a large reddish-brown fur-covered animal, hunched over and rubbing or pounding its head or shoulders on trees. When she moved to get a better view, the animal ran toward her growling with heavy footfalls, and she fled to the house as it hit downed trees and stopped at the brush edge.
Unusual sounds heard near Enumclaw
Two people became locked behind gates on dirt access roads and had to spend the night in their car. After dark they repeatedly heard loud wood-on-wood knocking sounds very close each time they stopped the car. They moved the car several times to different roads, but the knocking resumed shortly after each stop and continued until sunrise. After sunrise they noticed a bark wound high on a tree near the car.
School teacher sees "thing" at school yard fence in early morning
A teacher was awakened around 1-2 a.m. by barking dogs at a school campus and looked outside from her doorway. About 25 yards away under a pole light she saw a very large dark figure outside the fence holding the top barbed wire with its head level with the wire. The motionless figure made a repeated cough-like sound and was gone when police arrived with spotlights. Pupils later reported finding large barefoot prints in patchy snow where it had stood.
Hunter hears vocalizations
The witness was hunting wild boar from a tree stand in a swamp plantation in South Carolina around 7:15pm. He heard three wood-like hits, then three more from deeper in the swamp seconds later, followed by a high-pitched yell he said he had never heard in 20 years of hunting. He did not report seeing the source of the sounds.

Four companions on a nighttime hike in a canyon stopped when they heard an extremely loud distant sound lasting 15-20 seconds that echoed through the mountains. The sound began like a distant motorcycle and shifted into a mechanical scream, frightening the group into running down to the valley bottom. They could not identify the source, and the reporter later felt an online Bigfoot scream recording was the closest match.

The witness was home alone in the evening when something struck the locked front door hard. She heard a low grunting or growling sound and then saw a pair of slanted eyes and a hairy head staring at her from a few feet away in the dark. She watched the motionless figure for an estimated ten minutes. Police arrived hours later on foot and found nothing.

Three hikers camped on a [name withheld] at night saw a flashlight-like light move across their tent and then heard crunching bipedal footsteps circling. Their campfire flickered out and was later found damp with ash and dirt on top, while pacing continued for over an hour. They found no tracks or visible source and inferred a non-human bipedal presence.

In February 2003 around 2:30 a.m., the witness had just gone to bed at home near a freeway when a brief frightening sound occurred. The 3-4 second sound is described as a very low growl with a high overtone, likened to a woman being violently killed, and caused intense primal fear. The witness first thought an animal had been hit on the road but noted no tire squeal, and later attempts to hear it again were unsuccessful.

In 2003 while living in Sparta on the county line at the edge of Mark Twain Forest, the witness got up at 3:30 AM and sat on the toilet by sliding glass doors. She heard two steps on the concrete patio steps, then a scream directly beside her face. She fled with pants down and no one else woke.

Over months living at the property, the witness repeatedly found footprints, knuckle prints, twisted trees, and tree knocks, and found a large scatter of animal skeletons he called a kill site or boneyard. He also reported having rocks thrown at him and being growled at more than once during the same period.

After shooting an elk, the witness returned around midnight with a friend and horses to pack it out. From a ridge they saw red eyes across the canyon and the horses became agitated. Later while alone the witness had a large rock thrown past him, saw a large bipedal silhouette with red eye reflection following on the ridge, heard an unexplainable high-pitched scream, and ran out of the canyon.

Years later while living in a bedroom in his mother's house, the witness returned from work late to find his wife asleep. As he prepared for bed, both heard a loud deep male voice say two words. He understood them as telling him to move out, bought a house the next day, and still cannot explain the voice.

A squirrel hunter near Lansing was chased out of the woods by a creature sounding like a deep-voiced chimp that beat its chest like a gorilla. The host noted the man told his story on another podcast.

Each evening after work the witness fished from below a steep bank. A tree knock would sound close behind him and another would answer across the river. He repeatedly checked for marks but never found any.
