Lone camper hears vocalization

The witness was sitting alone by a campfire late at night when a very loud, high-pitched wailing howl began in the woods at a distance. The sound continued intermittently for about ten minutes, seeming to move slowly, with no answering calls heard. The witness felt it did not match known wolves, coyotes, or cougars and concluded it must have been a Sasquatch.

Late at night at a wooded residence, a child went outside to tend a car, heard strange vocalizations and saw a white figure, then ran inside. A young man then shone a flashlight toward the woods, saw a large white furry bipedal creature, fired a shot, and the creature stumbled then fled on two legs while others watched from the porch and trees were heard breaking.

Multiple Campers Woken by close range night Vocalizations

The witness was camping in a tent in a wooded mountain area when loud repetitive whooping woke four campers around 2 a.m. The close-range calls continued with pauses for over ten minutes and were answered by a similar distant call before stopping suddenly. No animal was seen.

The witness, a wildlife biology student surveying songbird nests in a clear-cut, heard a very loud repetitive whooping from a ridge about 100 yards above for 3 to 4 minutes. The witness scanned with binoculars but saw nothing, then hiked to the ridgetop about 10 minutes later and found it unusually quiet with game trails. The witness later concluded the sound matched an archival whoop recording and was not a known bird.

Vocalization heard in Call Meadow area

The witness was walking alone on an old road at the edge of a meadow in the evening when a very loud, long-lasting bellowing-like sound came from woods across the meadow. The witness kept watching while cutting the walk short and returning to the vehicle. No other people, vehicles, or camps were seen in the area when leaving.

Woman hears terrifying shriek near residence, describes livestock disturbance

The witness and her husband had fallen asleep in their living room with the windows open. Around 2:30 am the witness awoke to extremely loud, deep and throaty roaring and screaming in short bursts, with a second less intense shriek heard within it. She tried to wake her husband while watching the window but reports no visual sighting. She describes the sound as uniquely terrifying and unlike anything she believes a person or animal could mimic.

Campsite host reports hearing loud snorting sounds, trees breaking

The witness and a companion were serving as campground hosts and were in bed in their popup camper at Cascadia State Park in summer 2003 after playing purported Bigfoot recordings. Shortly after lying down, they heard very loud snort-like sounds from the woods directly behind the camper and continuous limb-breaking sounds for about five minutes. They were too frightened to investigate that night and found no tracks when they searched the woods the next day.

Late at night the witness was watching television at a house when she heard loud scream-like vocalizations from woods across the street. She went to the front door and heard additional screams described as very loud and stationary. No one else in the house heard the sounds and nothing was seen. She later compared the sounds to recordings and identified one as identical.

The witness and a relative left camp near a lake at night to collect firewood in a clearing. The witness heard a growl and then saw a tall dark upright figure that stood up and shook small trees. The relative came over, then both fled back to camp. The witness said the figure did not match any identifiable animal and fit descriptions of Bigfoot.

The witness arrived at his mother's house late at night and his dog barked at the woods. He saw a human-like shadow and then came within feet of a huge grayish-black being. The creature stared at him, walked to the driveway, disappeared into shadows, and the dog returned.

The witness was vacationing with family and staying in a condo at a resort in Mammoth Cave State Park. Just after sunset he heard three loud scream-like vocalizations, after which all other ambient sounds went silent for several minutes before resuming. A daughter who was present heard the final vocalization. The witness was unable to determine the distance or direction of the sounds and concluded they were made by a Sasquatch.

Two companions were on an overnight fishing trip and stood by a campfire around 10 p.m. They heard a very loud scream, then about 30 seconds later a quieter shorter scream. Frightened, they got into their pickup, locked the doors, and heard nothing further.

The witness was camping with family and woke between 3 and 4 a.m. to a high-pitched howling/screaming that started with one voice and grew to several in unison before stopping abruptly after 10-15 seconds. The witness's wife also woke and heard it. The witness said the sound was unfamiliar and unlike elk, deer, cougar, or coyote known from prior experience.

Tree break/vocalization report

The witness took their research team to Odel Lake for a trial outing. They reported finding freshly twisted and snapped trees about nine feet up and logs torn apart without bear-like claw marks. They also reported hearing a young Sasquatch-like being calling from no more than fifty yards away, which frightened newer team members into leaving.

The witness was camping with three dogs and playing with them near the campfire before sunset when loud primate-like calls were heard from up the mountain and canyon. After the witness mimicked the calls, the callers replied and appeared to move closer, while the dogs grew fearful and cowered. Once sounds were very close in the trees after dark and the dogs barked aggressively at the vehicle windows, the witness left the area by vehicle.

The witness and a companion were hiking back from Irely Lake in dim evening light when they heard a loud sustained roar-growl from about 100 yards away in the forest. The sound was unlike any bear or mountain lion they knew and never repeated, prompting them to hurry back to their car. The pair later expressed certainty that the vocalization was a sasquatch.

The witness reports hearing various vocalizations at night during summer at a family home bordering National Forest in Sly Park, last heard the previous summer, experienced with a brother. The witness, brother, and mother also reported very large human-shaped bare footprints with a long stride in a dirt roadway, with no casts or photos taken. They also reported finding twisted and broken tree limbs nearby and submitted photos of the damage, described as occurring where machine cause was unlikely.

Three young men were camping by a pond at night when they heard a loud moaning yell twice, followed by fast bipedal footsteps approaching. They turned on the truck's headlights and saw a six-foot-tall hair-covered creature with long arms about 20 yards away in a hollow. After watching for about 10 seconds, they fled in the truck.

The witness was fishing from one bank of a wide swift river when two loud branch snaps were heard from brush across the river. While watching that bank, the witness saw a bipedal figure move through a clearing for about three seconds from about 25 yards away. The figure was described as barrel-chested with no neck, first thought to be a man but then interpreted as having a sasquatch profile.

The witness went to lie down in a pop-up trailer, and shortly after the companion rushed in, grabbed a rifle, and said something was circling the camp.
