The witness was hiking a loop trail alone while geocaching in early spring. After hearing indistinct voices and what seemed like a person imitating an owl, the witness turned toward the sound near a pond and saw a tall, lean, black figure turning and dropping to the ground behind a stone wall about 40 yards away. The witness continued on, initially rationalizing it as a person, but later concluded it was not human due to its height, very long arms and odd movement.

The witness and his wife were awakened around 3 a.m. by loud screaming sounds outside their home. The witness went to the rear deck with a shotgun and heard prolonged commotion including shaking trees in multiple spots, breaking limbs, running footsteps approaching the deck, and aggressive grunting very close by. They did not see anything, kept lights off out of fear, and then heard what sounded like several large creatures retreating to the tree line. The next day they found pushed-over bushes and freshly broken branches.

He then heard three loud, deep, unfamiliar howls spaced seconds apart that vibrated his chest, after which the coyotes fell silent. After hearing stomping noises and then a loud deep vocalization, the witness stopped and saw a large hairy figure about 20 feet away hitting a tree. After brief eye contact, the figure stepped into the woods and disappeared, and the witness rode home quickly.

The witness reports seeing a tall hair-covered figure passing the living room picture window about once a year over several years while watching television late at night. The figure is described as walking upright past the window in one direction and sometimes returning minutes later. The witness was awakened around 3 a.m. by very loud, clear repetitive whooping calls near the house, with a second more distant caller responding. Around 4-4:15 a.m. the calls resumed louder and closer, alarming the dog, prompting the witness to check sheep, goats and chickens with a flashlight and see nothing, after which the calls stopped. The witness could not match the sound to any known local animal.

The witness was camping in a tent in a wooded mountain area when loud repetitive whooping woke four campers around 2 a.m. The close-range calls continued with pauses for over ten minutes and were answered by a similar distant call before stopping suddenly. No animal was seen.

Late at night the witness was watching television at a house when she heard loud scream-like vocalizations from woods across the street. She went to the front door and heard additional screams described as very loud and stationary. No one else in the house heard the sounds and nothing was seen. She later compared the sounds to recordings and identified one as identical.

About 200 to 250 feet ahead by a power-line pole he saw a very tall red-haired human-like creature with a baboon-like face scratching its back. After it made a growl-like sound he backed away and ran once bird sounds returned.

The witness was sleeping in a tent with other campers during a Girl Scout overnight stay when she was awakened by something pressing on the tent and making grunting sounds. The other occupants screamed, camp leaders said everyone was accounted for, and an unrecognized funky odor was noticed.

During a multi-night backyard campout last summer, the guest heard bipedal walking in tall grass, pacing, rubbing on the tall tent, and a low continuous growl and dragging sound approaching her head. On another night the girls felt a hand drag over and push down the tent top before it jumped a retaining wall, leaving two foot-shaped impressions in clover leading to the woods.

Neighbors three doors down reported repeated night tapping on back windows about seven feet off the ground and footsteps across the deck with nothing seen. They also had large professional ladders go missing and later found in the swamp. They now light the property brightly at night.
