They saw high amber-red eyeshine, then fled to their lifted pickup as a large snout-faced biped chased them. It reached toward the tailgate and kept pace on two and four legs for several hundred yards until they detoured around the lake to escape.

During the first season's night investigation for the television show, the crew encountered something on a hillside about two miles off trail around 2 a.m. When shouted at, it walked away then froze on one foot, outdistanced a pursuer in the dark, and a single frustrated yell was later heard from the hill.

On another night camped on the creek, the witness and a companion smelled rotten mud, heard large rocks thrown into the creek, and heard growls and a grunt that frightened them away.

Two producers at base camp watched it with non-recording thermal viewers and described it as towering over and far bulkier than cows. The witness heard the disturbance from a distance but arrived after it left.

Two railroad workers were filling trenches by hand in a remote, quiet area when they heard a prolonged loud vocalization that vibrated through their bodies. After standing still and listening, they heard the same sound again from farther away. They left the immediate work area and did not tell supervisors the real reason.

The witness and friends were camping in the Shenandoah Valley when they heard noises at a distance. About an hour later rocks the size of a hand began landing in the campsite, forcing them to take shelter in their cars. In the morning rangers said no other campers were registered and possible footprints were inconclusive.

The guest's uncle was alone on Bear Butte on a multi-day vision quest holding his pipe. While dozing he heard two little voices planning to take the pipe and felt tugs on it. He woke growling and saw two six-inch-high little men with wide eyes who fled into the woods.

On another occasion while tent camping on the same property late at night, the witness and companions heard a very deep grunt close to the tents that frightened them.

A big rig struck a huge hairy manlike creature in the Midwest, injuring the driver and leaving the animal moaning roadside. A government veterinarian called to tranquilize it struggled with dosing and collected hair and blood. The next day officials allegedly seized the samples and denied the event.

New owners of an abandoned property began hearing screams nightly and having trash bags taken from the porch and sorted in a bush by color and type. The female resident reported dark hairy figures throwing twigs, candy bait disappearing from rat traps, and large grass impressions. The guest saw the trackway and droppings and set a camcorder that allegedly captured the theft before his notes and tapes were stolen in a break-in.

The evening after hunting, the witness and the cousin walked toward the truck at dusk and felt surrounded by unseen sources making varied bird and owl-like animal noises all around them. The sounds followed until near the truck then stopped. The witness suggested poachers while the cousin insisted it was not poachers.

The witness's cousin was bow hunting alone from a tree stand about 20 feet up when a tall figure was seen peeking from a shaded trail about 45 yards away. It stood fully upright, walked silently to the clearing edge, looked directly up at the hunter, swayed while staring, sniffed loudly and showed human-like teeth before turning with upper body first and walking away. The cousin was so frightened the cousin could not climb down until companions arrived after dark.

During a large group campout the witness and friends heard a powerful roar from an oak hammock after the campfire flared up. Three went to investigate and found a large round hay bale thrown from a flatbed truck with a bounce indentation and mud. Next morning large human-like tracks were found circling the entire campsite.

Sasquatch sighting near Pioneer, Florida
The witness, then a 10-year-old boy, was catching reptiles in a dry creek bed behind his grandparents' rural property when a tall slender ape-like female appeared across the creek with an infant. He crouched and pretended to eat vegetation to avoid provoking her while they observed each other for several minutes. A taller darker male then emerged, bared his teeth and displayed aggressively, and the female positioned herself between the male and the boy. Both creatures then left into the brush, and the boy ran home and told his grandmother, who said she believed him.
