The witness arrived early to turkey hunt from a prepared clearing on land he had leased for years. After calling for about two hours he watched approaching turkeys suddenly flee, then heard slow bipedal footsteps in the creek bottom. A dark figure he first mistook for a person approached to about eighty feet, grabbed a pine, vocalized angrily with language-like sounds and growls, displayed teeth, rocked and shook the tree, then walked away and gave a loud abrupt yell. The witness waited before leaving on foot, heard a loud fresh tree break, ran to his four-wheeler, left, then returned with a rifle to watch the treeline.
Afternoon sighting by mother and daughter in Honey Island Swamp
Two witnesses taking a dog for exercise at the end of a swamp road noticed a large dark hairy torso-like shape beside a tree about 50-75 feet away and watched it shift for a few minutes. After driving to two other spots up the road, they heard footsteps approaching and then something running toward them through the woods, which frightened the dog. They left the area and returned later that afternoon, but the shape was gone.

The witness noticed a brown-colored subject moving very fast at an angle across the view, first thinking it was a person on a dirt bike. The witness then realized there was no engine noise, only the sound of breaking sticks, and left the area quickly without telling anyone at the time.

Four people parked in a car by a small pond at night heard a loud growl from across the water. When headlights were turned on they saw a large dark hairy figure with a cone-shaped head and green eyes that moved its head and made grunting sounds. After difficulty starting the car, they heard a loud prolonged roar and saw the figure still there as they drove away.

The driver broke down on a rainy highway and was working in the back of a tall cargo van. A snorting sound came from outside, and a large hairy face appeared inches away in the open door. The creature vibrated the van with a loud growl, reacted to a pistol, then left. Lightning revealed two more figures nearby, and the driver fired and fled to town.

He saw a dark face with an angry eye peering from foliage in front while movement closed in behind, feeling an ambush attempt. The young witness and a friend finished fishing class and walked a short way down a trail to look toward another fishing spot. They heard a third set of footsteps that stopped when they stopped and called out with no answer. They then saw a blurry roughly six-foot-tall mass peeking from behind a thin tree about fifty feet away, left quickly, and avoided returning to that trail.

A delivery driver broke down on a highway after crossing into Mississippi and waited in the back of a tall van during a storm. A strange creature appeared face-to-face at the open cargo door, stuck its head inside, screamed, and shook the vehicle. The driver grabbed a pistol, struggled with it, fired through the doorway, and saw at least two figures before slamming the door.

It looked canine-like with disproportionately long arms, about bear-sized, with no tail. He fired a .308 at about 80 yards and it ran off loudly through the woods for several hundred yards.
