The witness approached and found a crouched hairy animal that then stood upright on two feet and ran into the woods, knocking down trees amid screaming. A driver stopped to help two motorists whose car had left the road after swerving to avoid a large hairy creature chasing a deer across the road. While fetching a rope from his truck to pull their car out, he walked directly into the creature standing behind his truck. He noted a foul smell, red eyes, and a low growl before it walked to the woods edge and then into the woods. He then helped move the car and continued his trip, shaken by the encounter.

On the other side of the track bed they saw a tall, very hairy creature standing and looking at them. After staring for about 15 seconds, the children ran screaming back to the house.

While walking in a remote forested area near a lake at twilight, the witness saw a large reddish figure cross a dirt road and enter dense forest. The figure reportedly noticed the witness, then ran uphill paralleling the road while emitting a loud distress-like scream with heavy footfalls. The frightened witness fled the area.

The guest and his wife were sitting in a borrowed van in the driveway late at night when the wife saw someone run past and a loud whoop and growling started beside the van. The creature shook the van and was lit by brake lights, then the father fired a shotgun from the porch and it leapt across the driveway into the woods. Later that night rocks were thrown at the trailer damaging a fan and siding, and next morning bent van metal, foot impressions, feathers and a missing chicken were found.
