Six People Witness "Large dark Animal, run away on two legs" near Gunpowder State Park
The witness and several companions were sitting in parked cars at a state park fishing area late at night. They heard something crashing down a wooded slope and saw a tall dark human-like figure land on the road, pause to look back, then sprint away with loud slapping footsteps. The group briefly got out, then left without discussing it and did not speak of it among themselves for months.

The witness was fly fishing alone in a river pool in the morning when a dog on the far bank began barking. A tall dark-haired biped stood up from the brush, was observed walking through the thicket, then left for the woods. The witness reported the sighting, returned to find police blocking the road, and later saw a large search with vehicles and helicopters but never received follow-up.

The witness was fishing on the north bank of a river when a dog on the south bank barked at brush and confronted an upright, hair-covered animal. The animal knocked the dog down, emitted a ticking sound and a musky odor, then walked into the woods where the witness lost sight of it while wearing waders. The witness later found the dog with blood on it and reported seeing a taped-off police search at the site.

The witness, then a teen, walked deep into unfamiliar old-growth woods while squirrel hunting alone. After feeling dread and hearing movement and strange chattering laughter from a laurel thicket, he fired a warning shot and saw a hairy bipedal figure emerge. He fled as it pursued parallel to him until he reached his house, where he and his brother later fired into the woods.
