The witness was moose hunting from a tree stand at night when a bull moose he had called approached. A large upright creature crossed the clearing quickly, causing the moose to flee, then circled to within about 50 yards of the stand. The creature hid behind willows and watched the witness for 30-40 minutes before leaving to the northeast.

The witness was returning on foot to camp at night after sitting and hunting in a mountain park. He heard steps, snapping and rustling following him for some distance to an open moonlit bald. After waiting there and then entering timber on the far side, he looked back and saw a large dark shape where he had sat stand up and come toward him; after he shouted it ran into the trees.

A family staying at a remote pack station heard a high-pitched whooping call for many minutes that seemed to approach and then pass toward a wilderness trail. The daughter went to the access road to meet the caller and saw a large, hair-covered, unclothed being with a long beard, long arms and a big mouth walking quickly past. She said it did not see her and was not vocalizing when seen. The next morning the family found a few possible wide-toed prints in the dust at the spot she indicated.

The witness was hunting arrowheads along a lake/river shoreline on a very hot late afternoon. From across the water the witness noticed a dark shape first taken for a stump, then saw it move while soaking in the water. After the witness climbed onto a dam, the figure apparently noticed the witness, stood up and walked to shore, and was gone by the time the witness finished crossing.

Two people were sitting on a porch late at night when they noticed a tall figure covered in hair moving along the road. The figure moved upright with very long strides and swinging arms, looking straight ahead without turning toward them. It was out of sight within seconds while faint footfalls were heard.

The witness was walking home across a bridge at night when splashes were heard from the river below. Going down to the bank to look, the witness saw a large hairy ape-like figure standing in the river. The figure turned and ran through the water toward the witness while making a gurgling sound. The witness fled up the bank, fell while running, and later avoided the bridge at night.
Late night sighting by motorist on 19 Mile Rd. near Greenville
The witness and a companion were driving out of a driveway around 2:30 a.m. when an extremely tall grayish figure ran across the road in front of their vehicle, paused briefly, then ran away. Both occupants reported seeing it and they left quickly because they were frightened. The witness also thought a grunting sound was heard but was unsure whether it came from the vehicle.

A solo hiker descending a high mountain trail heard a very loud scream-growl vocalization and stopped to scan. He saw a tall, hairy biped about 50 yards away at the forest edge staring at him for several seconds, tilting its head before turning and running fast into the pines out of sight. He then continued down the trail anxiously without photographing it.

Early one sunny morning, the witness looked out a bathroom window and saw a jet-black, ape-like figure running bipedally along the backyard fence. The figure ran silently and fluidly over uneven leaf-covered ground with its arms held like a human runner, then disappeared into the woods. About a minute later the witness heard repeated rock-knocking sounds from the woods. A later inspection of the area found no footprints.

Late at night at home, the witness and three companions heard banging on the deck and went outside to investigate. In moonlight they saw a large shape kneeling on the lawn that stood and ran across the lawn, through a puddle, and up a driveway. The group later heard low growling and groaning, and the following afternoon the witness found a large footprint in a nearby sandbox.

Around 10:45 p.m. the witness stepped into the front yard to smoke and heard dogs barking and something crashing through trees. The witness was walking alone on an old logging road into the forest when he noticed a dark, robust, hairy being crouched in thick brush watching him. The being paralleled him for 20-25 minutes, then crouched low when approached, producing a strange odor and low growl. After hearing large movement behind him, the witness retreated to the trail and watched the first being stand upright and stare, as a second much larger dark being appeared beside it before he ran home.

A gamekeeper living alone in an abandoned farmhouse in the forest began experiencing a sphere of light, sounds of a baby crying, chatter and a constant feeling of being watched. One night he woke to see a huge dark figure stooped at the window looking in for several minutes. On another night he lay outside to watch the farmhouse and saw the tall figure appear without walking motion, look in, then leave. He left the location the next day and kept the story private for nearly 20 years.

He heard an extremely loud roar from the ravine behind him that drowned out the equipment and scattered deer and other animals. While sitting in the car he heard repeated impacts like cones hitting the vehicle and saw tall black hooded figures in the treeline and prone shapes on the grass that appeared closer each time he looked away, with faint flickering lights near their faces. He spoke to them, then drove away, later finding no damage and noticing maps show the turnout on the opposite side of the road from his memory.
