Campers describe early AM approach near Coldwater Creek Campground outside Yacolt
A couple sleeping in their parked SUV at a logging-road campsite were awakened around 2:30 a.m. when the wife felt a firm touch on her leg through a partially open rear window and then heard light footfalls moving away. Neither witness saw anything when listening and peeking out. In the morning they found very large muddy fingerprints on the vehicle near the window.

The witness was alone in the travel trailer at night while her husband was away smoking by the creek. She reported hearing unintelligible muttering outside and then feeling a hard push or jolt that moved the trailer. Her husband denied being near the trailer or pushing it, saying he had been about 60 yards away. No wind or other natural cause was noted.

Eleven years after the river incident, the witness was stationed at the base and took an armored vehicle into the training areas to serve as props for scout training. After dark in a large field near the river, the group heard loud screams first from the east and then from the west. Using poor night vision they watched two dark bipedal shapes move across the field toward the river. They locked themselves inside the vehicle and felt and heard something scratching and pushing on its exterior for many minutes; at dawn they found no tracks in the dry ground and learned they had been miles from the assigned site so no scouts had been nearby.
Camper hears possible vocalizations after dark near Cooper Lake
Three friends set up camp after moving a fallen live tree that blocked the road. After dark they heard loud rapid trill vocalizations that approached very quickly, then something struck or pushed their truck. They heard wood knocks through the night while remaining awake in fear.
Campers hear footfalls, rock clicking and find foorprints
The witness was camping overnight with friends in the Mount Baker National Forest near the river. Between 2 and 3 a.m. she heard movement approach her tent and brush against it, while a companion in a truck reportedly felt a nudge and saw a fleeting shadow. The next morning the witness found multiple large footprints around her tent, the trail and vehicles and made a plaster cast of the clearest one. While waiting alone in camp later that day she heard persistent clicking from the woods and felt watched.
Vehicle contact in Washington
The film crew parked an RV at the mountain encounter area during rainy weather and sent one member up the hill. Later they recorded tapping sounds on the vehicle, saw a possible light on night vision, and heard distant vocalizations. Around early morning two members heard a deep growl very close to the vehicle and retreated inside.
