They saw a tall black figure at the driveway and later at the firelight edge, had hickory nuts thrown uphill at them, heard limb breaking, and at about 5 a.m. something pressed down on their tent breaking a pole before running off. Similar activity recurred the next night.

The witness and three friends went ghost hunting at a remote cemetery in a forest late at night. After hearing grunting and footsteps paralleling them on a footpath, the friends fled while the witness turned to face a very tall dark figure swaying side to side that changed expression on eye contact and huffed, exposing a foul breath odor. When a friend shouted his name, the figure leapt away, and the witness ran to the car.

After shouting, they heard heavy stomping retreat into the woods and fled to their car. They returned later that morning, heard heavy breathing and had a stick thrown toward them before retreating again, later finding disturbed garbage and an opened food packet before leaving.

The witness and two companions were scouting for deer season by a creek near a cedar swamp when they heard an unfamiliar low growl. After the witness threw stones toward the sound, they saw a dark upright shadow moving at the swamp edge and rocks were thrown back toward them. Hearing further growls and large branches breaking, the group left quickly for their vehicle.

After sunrise they found large footprint-like impressions in the gravel near the trailer.

After returning home they photographed smudge marks on their vehicle that had not been noticed earlier.

A shadowy fur-covered biped stood up about 30 feet away and walked calmly across the road before disappearing into vegetation. The witness and a relative were sitting on a hill near outbuildings watching a hollow at night when a passing car's lights revealed a tall standing figure below them. The figure turned toward them, and after the car passed they heard breathing and running coming uphill toward them. Both fled to the nearby house and heard nothing further that night.
