Possible wood knocks and sticks thrown cause campers to leave early south of Traverse City
The witness walked alone down a gated dirt road to join friends at a lakeside camp and heard rhythmic banging like sticks. Later that night while kneeling to build a fire with a companion, two small sticks came from the dark woods and landed between and behind them. After others went to the water and noticed many crayfish, the group heard thumps by the fire, found the fire logs disturbed and later the tent support bent, then left the camp that night and did not return.
Footsteps in Michigan (2003)
Two siblings camped in a remote forest clearing and heard movement, a log being turned, then three extremely loud long screams from about 100 yards away. They hid in their tent, and in the middle of the night the witness heard unintelligible deep speech-like talking very close outside. In the morning they found large barefoot prints behind a bush and later found their tent flipped over when they returned.
Nighttime sighting by four witnesses, near Plainwell
Late at night at home, the witness and three companions heard banging on the deck and went outside to investigate. In moonlight they saw a large shape kneeling on the lawn that stood and ran across the lawn, through a puddle, and up a driveway. The group later heard low growling and groaning, and the following afternoon the witness found a large footprint in a nearby sandbox.

The witness did not see the creature and describes hearing heavy bipedal crashing approaching through the woods with a loud bark-like vocalization growing louder. The witness swung a skateboard, shouted back, then fled uphill with the group. On return the camp was found scattered.

Five teenagers were skateboarding and staying overnight at a half-pipe ramp they built in woods near a swamp. After smelling a rancid odor all day and seeing glimpses, at night in candlelight one witness came face to face at five to six feet with a 7-8 foot tall hairy creature that made a loud robotic ARK bark. They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

Three people camped without tents in woods near Traverse City. During the night they heard movement around camp and sounds of something disturbing the vehicle, but waited until daylight to check. In the morning they found ferns flattened in a circle around the camp and very large footprints on a sandy road and by a creek, which the witness believes was a Bigfoot.

The witness describes repeated activity over years living near woods in White River Township. The witness reports seeing part of a tall hair-covered figure peeking from brush, finding deer carcasses cached high in trees, stacked bone piles and dugout shelters, hearing breathing and strange calls, smelling musk, feeling watched, and being chased at night by a bipedal creature that halted near the road.

Everyone was asleep when screaming and commotion from the pig pen woke the household. The father went out with a flashlight while the family stayed inside. He found one pig scratched as if something had reached over the pen, and the pigs were soon butchered to avoid another attempt.
Odor in Michigan (1977)
The guest relayed his father's account of a night when the family was home while the grandfather was away hauling freight. After a foul odor and prolonged barking by the guard dog, a long loud vocalization was heard, the dog was apparently dragged from under the chicken-coop camper, and three household members separately reported red eyes staring through windows. By morning the dog was dead and mutilated, all chickens were gone with feathers and footprints scattered, and the coop hatch had been opened from underneath.

The witness recalls numerous puzzling occurrences from 30-40 years ago on a family farm of about 100 acres with orchards and woods. These included trees reportedly moved to block trails, an elaborate woven arch structure, large human-like footprints with long strides, rocks and a branch thrown near the witness, loud clicking exchanges, and nighttime disturbances around the barn and house. No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.

During a bonfire with several visitors, a carved apple was thrown into the woods. About twenty minutes later dirt seemed thrown over the group from behind, distressed cat-like cries were heard, and the same apple rolled out between a visitor's feet.

After moving back, the witness had repeated nighttime disturbances at home. Something struck the house hard, there was loud tapping on a window, and a loud low-to-high whistle by the door. The dogs were alert but refused to go outside, and nothing could be seen outside.

She also reported strange footprints, a presence in her barn, large crossed-tree blockages on trails, and small trees and flowers left on her porch after she cleared them. Contact was later lost without identifying the source.

Recorders captured goat-like and horse-like sounds, breathing and banging on a food barrel, and loud knocks from the woods when people moved between buildings. The witness investigated possible human sources and found one distant caller to exclude, but did not see the source.

The witness volunteered as bait on a southern Michigan property while others monitored with microphones. Operators reported footsteps following the witness along a road. On other nights the group broadcast whale sounds and later recorded similar sounds unprompted, and daytime slapping on a garage was reported until cameras and lights were installed.
