The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.

As a child camping with family, the witness woke at night and stayed up to watch raccoons. Two large hair-covered creatures waded across a creek into the camp, growling and grunting while going through items left out. The frightened witness hid and remained still until they left the way they came, after which the raccoons returned.

In the morning a food bag hung 15 feet up between trees was gone with the knot untied rather than broken.

At a Puyallup house backed by woods the guest's son was growled at, garden ornaments were taken and replaced with rocks, and wood was thrown against the house. The guest saw a tall black individual walking from her window that seemed to vanish, saw it solid twice more, and walked close to another individual holding its arms across limbs to mimic a tree before backing away.

The guest sneaked out of a neighbor's trailer at midnight to visit her brothers through the woods and had to walk back alone hearing steps and cracking behind her. As soon as she locked herself inside, something pushed and rocked the small trailer violently from side to side while the three girls screamed.

A partner with a firearm went outside with a flashlight and saw nothing, while the witness heard heavy thumping footsteps like those heard earlier. The witness reported horses avoiding a pasture behind the house and corral rails repeatedly pulled down in one direction at night. Recently after tossing a stone onto a wall and making a clack, a similar loud clack answered within seconds from a ravine across the street.
