A companion heard heavy breathing just beside the front door in the dark and noticed a strong musky odor. After preparing a light, they found large wet footprints crossing the porch, and the dogs remained unsettled all night.

A loud scream was heard shortly afterward from the far end of the woods, after which he remained in the stand for about an hour before leaving.

He smelled a terrible odor and was paced by something unseen that stopped when he stopped, then heard screaming, breaking limbs, and saw a large log thrown and trees violently shaking. The witness and one companion then saw a very tall dark figure with large eyes that appeared to walk on two legs. After the witness threw a rock, the figure walked away but followed the group at a distance as they hurried back to their truck, throwing rocks as they went.

The sounds started low and guttural then rose to a high wavering pitch and repeated after a pause, causing neighborhood dogs to react loudly. At dawn they found the food cache torn down and learned another nearby camp had also been raided.

The corn parted and a very tall, thick dark figure stood within arm's length, emitting a strong musky odor and a heavy sigh or grunt before running around the child and disappearing. The child's mother heard the footsteps and corn breaking but did not see the figure.

While hauling a refrigerated load north at night, the witness pulled onto an exit ramp to check a temperature alert and began diagnostics on the trailer. The witness noticed a musky odor and breathing, turned on cab work lights, and found a tall hairy face leaning in within a few feet. When the trailer engine kicked on, both were startled, the creature slapped the unit hard enough to break fiberglass and then ran across a field with heavy footfalls.
