Two companions camping with a companion's child heard ape-like calls and slow loud knocks near a creek in the evening and knocked back with logs. Rocks were thrown into camp, and at night something bipedal walked around and brushed the tent while making sniffing sounds at the seams. The activity continued over several days with more distant knocks that seemed to approach, another large rock landing near the witness, and an ice chest found opened.

The couple was outside their house late at night calling for their pet cat when loud hoot-like calls started nearby and multiplied into many very loud varied screams and laughing-like sounds that built to a crescendo then stopped abruptly. After a period of silence with rustling and a loud snap, they got into their car to leave. While driving away they saw a large dark upright figure with glowing yellowish-orange eyes near the road and noticed a strong musk odor.

The two hunters arrived late and set up camp and a tree stand in darkness in a hollow bottom. One hunter returned alone to retrieve a phone and heard pacing footsteps, a very loud voice repeating a name, and a laugh, then saw a huge dark shape in tall weeds and fired twice before fleeing. Both hunters were then circled for hours by fast-moving unseen things that stayed out of flashlight range, threw out a poisoned hot dog that was quickly taken by something running on two legs that coughed like a person, and found the heavy welded stand ripped from the tree in the morning.

After the shots both hunters stayed by the fire and heard several things circling the camp for an hour or two, staying outside flashlight range. The witness threw a hot dog soaked in antifreeze into the woods, something moved quickly on two legs to grab it, then coughed and hacked deeply while moving away. The circling stopped and the coughing presence slowly retreated until near sunrise.

Late at night the two hunters walked through a dark hollow to install a heavy metal tree stand. The witness felt stalked and heard something pacing him very close on two legs. While installing the stand he fell from the tree, kept hearing movement in nearby brush, and both hunters became disoriented about the direction back to camp.

Animals and birds were seen moving away from the sounds while branches were seen and heard breaking nearby, followed by a loud splash. Over several days and nights they reported heavy impacts, rustling, a skunk-like odor, red eyeshine, wood knocks, whistles, talk-like mumbling, a whoop-ending vocalization, and bent trees and branch structures. The most intense moment was a predawn episode with a deep guttural roar followed by a scream-like sound near camp. They left early after smelling the odor again near a plum thicket.

While camping with fraternity companions near a river at night, the witness and two companions went to gather firewood near a brush-covered hill. They heard something large moving through dense brush toward them, breaking branches, with heavy bipedal-sounding steps and a musty stagnant-water odor. After retreating to the campfire and later returning with additional group members, the group heard rapid heavy steps approaching and fled in a vehicle, without ever seeing the source.

The witness's father as a teenager went to a river with his older brother, younger sister, and the brother's girlfriend near dark. Something across the river crashed through brush like a heavy animal, then yelled, screamed, broke branches and pushed things over. The group fled in a vehicle, realized they left the youngest sister, drove back and found her running up the road screaming.

A resident described repeated booms that shook his brick house, later finding cracked and pulverized bricks high on the wall. On another night he shone a spotlight into a field and saw a large gray figure moving very fast and low like a spider on fingertips and toes. Game cameras captured possible high eyeshine and a night video where the background distorted as an unseen shape moved toward a tree stand.

The witness was alone in an inner tube fishing under a full moon when he felt dread and heard a scream and bushes moving. Several large mesquite trees were shaken from the base at once while he felt rumbling pressure in his chest. He kicked to shore, abandoned his gear in waders, and drove out through brush.
