He left quickly, and while walking out through a field and old road he loaded his pistol, heard heavy paired footsteps and something keeping pace with him off the road. The sounds stopped at a creek, and he ran to his truck and left.

The witness was turkey hunting in a different area and saw hens on a peaceful evening. While walking out on a county road bordered by fields and honeysuckle he heard bushes shake, a grunt and loud stopping footsteps. He briefly saw a figure moving fast tree to tree off the road, ran to his truck after crossing water where the sounds stopped, and had no further incidents.

The witness and a fellow priest were in a lit open picnic area returning toward the building when they felt heavy stomping that shook the ground and heard a powerful scream-howl. Attempts to return to the building or cars triggered more screaming, grunting and felt vibrations, keeping them on a picnic table until sunrise. At sunrise they heard crashing and saw trees moving as something scaled a steep rocky hill incredibly fast, and a neighboring resident later said food offerings were left to calm activity.

The witness hiked alone up the old coal road in darkness to get back in shape and pray. Loud bird-like whistling kept pace nearby, pebbles and rocks landed precisely at the feet, a large stick landed pointing at the witness, and loud trudging was heard. The witness backed down the road, then ran to a lit area as rapid movement rushed uphill faster than a person could move.

While standing in the lit parking lot near the car to smoke, the witness had pebbles tossed precisely at the feet and heard occasional bird-like whistling. After throwing a large rock back, whistling erupted aggressively from a rocky hillside at the tree line where a flashlight showed nothing. The witness then heard heavy trudging and saw saplings shaking as something moved uphill to about two hundred feet within seconds.

After knocking three times on a deck rail, the witness heard three knocks returned from nearby woods and later saw branches moving despite no wind. The witness then heard a large splash in the creek followed by paired guttural growls that stopped after the witness whooped, and later described seeing a large hairy figure peeking from behind a tree across the creek.

While standing around a campfire after midnight on a winter backpacking trip, the witness and two friends repeatedly heard loud bipedal steps approach when they looked away. They charged into the woods to confront it. They never saw it but heard it run on two feet, jump off a cliff line, and continue down the valley.

The witness and his son were deer hunting from a blind in darkness before dawn. After the son woke the sleeping witness, they heard something large moving fast through brush behind the blind. It screamed, stomped hard enough to shake the ground, snapped limbs, and grunted and growled before leaving quickly. The pair then left the area immediately.

The witness was hiking alone in dense forest in the late afternoon when the woods fell silent. He heard rustling and grunting and saw a tall hair-covered creature standing near a tree about 50 yards away, then saw it again about 20 to 30 yards away while walking back. He left the area without using the firearm he was carrying and later told a relative what he had seen.

He heard crunching beside the shack, saw a shadow move toward the door, and something pulled on the door. After he shouted, he heard a terrifying screaming howl and the pulling intensified, so he heated a poker as a threat until it went quiet, then ran to his car where he remained the rest of the night.

The witness and a companion were night fishing when they heard rustling, snapping and thumping approaching from the woods. Something ran across gravel behind them, slapped the side of their parked pickup three times, and shook branches while heavy footsteps were felt. After reaching the truck to leave, they heard a loud, close, high-pitched unearthly scream and drove away quickly.

While walking out on a remote logging road after discovering flat tires, the witness confronted a black bear that kept approaching despite shouting. A large hairy biped rushed down the hill on all fours, landed in the road and slid, causing the bear to flee. The biped then stood, stared, and bluff-charged twice with loud vocalizations until the witness fled on foot and was later picked up by drivers in a pickup.

The witness and a companion arrived home at night and heard a loud roaring scream twice from a nearby hillside. The witness took a light and walked toward the woods without it on, smelling a strong foul odor and hearing branches breaking. When the flashlight was turned on, the witness briefly saw a tall, large, hairy bipedal animal fleeing through the woods. Broken branches and ground disturbance were found the next day.

The guest's mother said that when she was a child staying with her cousin in a house next to a creek, they would hear something large moving up and down the creek lifting and moving rocks with stomping and strange noises. Dogs in the area would hide under the porch during these visits. The girls would stay in bed terrified listening.
