After his stepfather died, the witness returned to the family land in East Texas to look for trees where money and papers had been hidden. Near the area of a childhood sighting he smelled the same strong pungent odor and heard heavy, widely spaced footsteps moving through overgrown brush. He froze and backed away as the steps receded, feeling the impacts and hearing vegetation being broken aside, sensing other watchers but no aggression and feeling the creature remembered him.

While walking toward an abandoned barn they heard approaching rustling, then a loud scream-growl and heavy footsteps. A large shaggy creature reportedly ran at them on all fours, stood up about 15 feet away, and chased them back to their car before leaving when something else came down the road. They returned the next day and found odd-looking footprints.

Four people camped overnight along a trail in the New Jersey pine barrens heard an odd high-pitched scream for about ten minutes late at night. They also heard something large moving through thick brush about 20-25 yards away, pausing at intervals as it passed the campsite, but dim light prevented any visual identification. The witness took a child for a moped ride into woods behind a family picnic gathering. An extremely loud scream was heard three times at short intervals, sounding closer each time and approaching very quickly. Twelve hunters were sleeping in a meadow camp after a day of bow hunting. Around 2 a.m. something heavy ran through the camp emitting a high-pitched female-like scream. The runner shook a truck as it passed and knocked over a full ice chest but was not seen in the dark. No unusual prints were found the next morning.

The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

A strong odor and rustling woke the witness to see a small reddish-brown hair-covered biped below eating discarded fruit. A much larger black hair-covered biped then approached vocalizing, the two interacted and appeared to notice the witness before leaving, and a hunting companion nearby also reported seeing a large upright figure moving fast through trees.

The witness and a relative were driving at night and stopped in the middle of a desolate road so the witness could step out. After a warning from the relative, the witness heard branches breaking and increasing footsteps from woods by the road and saw a tall dark upright figure running toward the car. The witness got back in the car and drove away, then saw the figure standing in the road behind them in the brake lights.

Four youths went hunting past the guest's camp on a logged area near Estacada. After feeling uneasy in young fir trees and hearing a loud snap near a brush pile, they noticed something pacing them in brush. About 100 yards from the paved road they saw the head and shoulders of a seven-foot dark silhouette between poplar trees at sunset; it shifted its weight, confirming it was solid, and they retreated to the road.

The opposing unit later said it never left base, and a next-day visit found snapped branches above head height but no tracks.
