The witness was staying five nights in a lakeside cabin in February with heavy snow. On three consecutive nights around 10 p.m., after stepping outside for a cigarette, the witness heard a very loud knock in the woods, often followed shortly by more distant knocks. Nothing was seen and the witness remained uncertain what caused the sounds.

The witness family was gathered around a bonfire at a cabin at night when they heard distant screams that sounded chaotic. They initially dismissed the sounds but later wondered if they had heard a sasquatch after hearing a similar scream on television. About eight family members were present for the hearing.

The witness was pausing on a bike ride on a forest road while waiting for a young relative riding behind. Something dark with a reddish tone emerged from the woods, crossed the road in a step and a leap, then hopped a fence and disappeared. The witness estimated it as much taller than the witness.
