He heard unusually loud and persistent hog-like squeals circling at a constant distance, then the woods went silent and a very loud, long scream directed at him caused intense fear. He abandoned his decoys and ran to his truck and later told a friend he thought he had seen Bigfoot.

The guest took his friend to a peninsula swimming hole at night, making noise for bears. They heard large branch breaks and heavy bipedal footfalls closing in and paralleling them out. Two deer emerged and walked with them to the car while the sounds continued alongside.

[name withheld] and a friend, ages about 10-11, were hiking unsupervised from an expedition base camp in the Cascades when they found drag marks and a crude log teepee structure. His friend climbed to peer inside and came face-to-face with a hair-covered, bear-like but man-like creature using a stick, then fled in terror to camp. The group stayed the night under guard and were told something large circled camp all night before they evacuated at dawn.

A very large hairy figure approached on its belly then stood to about nine feet, displaying threatening behavior. On night two a separate team driving a roadway saw red eyeshine about ten feet up that turned and crossed the road. They pursued on foot hearing twig snaps and rustling of something large and seeing shifting eyeshine eight to ten feet up. Members then reported feeling ill, disoriented, and trance-like, with the last person feeling lured away from the group.

A witness sitting near a wooded slope watched a solid-white upright figure approach and stop a short distance away. The figure faced the witness, gave a loud woman-like scream, leapt away, then beat on a tree. The witness fled to a nearby house convinced it was an animal, not a person or ghost.

While investigating a farm, the team found large tracks along a tractor road, cast a 17-inch track, and found hair on a barbed wire fence. They also heard wood knocks and hoops, and the farmer said cows stampeded through a metal fence to escape the area and will not re-enter it.

At night they heard hisses, tree knocks and whoops, saw strange lights, then saw a group of large hairy bipeds that threw rocks, injured a friend, threw a large dog, and chased the group as they fled on ATVs. The next day the camp was found destroyed and the dog was found dead.

A visitor from the UK went to a beach near Monterey to photograph sea otters at sundown. She watched six very large, hairy bipeds come around a cove, with a large male wading while others handled seaweed on the sand. After her camera gear clattered on rocks, the male approached and argued vocally with a female before threatening her, after which she lost consciousness.
Whoop in Florida
The witness set out alone on a multi-day hike through swamp trail and camped overnight in a hammock. During the night the camp was surrounded by unseen figures making vocalizations, knocks and walking sounds, and a food bag was knocked down. The next day the witness found large tracks, then encountered large dark hairy figures on and near the trail, one of which followed closely. The witness fled in panic to a highway rest stop and required medical care, reporting lasting distress and nightmares.
