Hiker startled by violent tree shaking and possible ground stomping near Uniacke House Museum
The witness was photographing nature along a loop trail behind a museum when repeated violent shaking of branches followed by loud ground thumps was heard from dense cover without any source being seen. After a third occurrence the witness left quickly and, after covering several hundred yards, heard a very loud thump about 80 feet behind. The witness then ran back to the museum, briefly losing the trail before finding the markers again.

Over multiple nights the witness heard shuffling coming down the hall to his basement bedroom, with the door moving, books sliding off, blankets pulled far away, and scratches appearing on his arm. Once he looked and saw a three-foot grinning gargoyle-like figure that vanished when he swung at it. A marble-like hit to the neck in daylight was part of the same period.

At about 14 the witness and a couple friends slept in a backyard cabin and used a homemade Ouija board. After joking turned serious they heard a thud and slow shuffling footsteps outside. Everyone stopped using the board and nothing else happened that night.
