Four people were train-spotting and camping by railroad tracks at night when they heard noise in brush across the tracks and saw eyeshine and a large silhouette swaying. They reported a foul odor, cats fleeing, and rocks thrown toward them from the brush direction, with impacts sparking on the tracks. One teen went inside while the remaining witnesses heard chatter and a branch snap south of the first figure, leading the witness to think two creatures were present. The witness then lit the brush and saw a tall bipedal silhouette stand before it disappeared, with no further activity over the next two nights.

The witness was hunting hogs alone on a food plot in the afternoon. He heard two loud wood-on-wood knocks from a mountainside about a quarter mile away, followed about thirty seconds later by a fainter knock from the opposite ridge. He reported no other vehicles in the area and noted there were no roads or trails where the first knocks originated.

The witness hiked to a riverside fishing spot on a sunny late morning after a cold night. As he came up an embankment he saw a large hairy upright animal standing in the sun about 30-40 yards away and watched it for about 15-20 seconds before speaking to it. The animal then avoided eye contact and left quickly uphill, after which the witness heard rapid knocking sounds like a drum roll from the ridge. He camped there overnight without seeing it again.

Witnesses in a newly purchased rural home surrounded by woods and swamp report repeated dusk and late-night activity. The claims include regular screaming and howling, a recurring skunky rotten odor, heavy running sounds felt on the porch, sightings of a large adult figure running and a large figure squatting or kneeling near outbuildings, and large tracks found with smaller prints nearby. After shooting a deer in fall 2013, the witness left his stand to retrieve and field dress it in a ravine. While doing so he heard loud roar-like screams and howls from two unseen sources to his left and right that seemed to converge toward his position. Feeling watched, he quickly dressed the deer and left the area.
