Backpackers hear whoops and tree push over SE of Round Valley in the Mt. San Jacinto Wilderness Area

The witness and his son were in sleeping bags in their tent when they heard a loud low-pitched whooping call from boulders just above them. About an hour later the witness heard a loud boom close to the tent. Two mornings later he found a fresh green pine snapped at its base on the boulders near camp, which he inferred was pushed over by the animal that made the sounds.

Early morning vocalizations heard on three consecutive days

The witness reported hearing very loud whooping calls coming from the forested opposite ridge of the valley at dawn on three consecutive days in June 2004, with durations getting shorter each day. On the evening of the third day the witness heard a briefer, softer series of the same calls while outside with a friend. The sounds were described as unlike known local wildlife and were never heard again.

Man sees an upright creature jump across wooded trail

A couple walking on a gated two-track trail near the Trinity River at dusk claimed a rusty-red upright figure about six feet tall leapt across the trail about 40 yards ahead and disappeared into the woods in under a second. They ran to the crossing point and reported hearing it continue running through the woods, flushing birds, and the primary witness smelled a strong musky odor. They found no tracks but noted a clump of freshly uprooted trees nearby.

The witness was spending time with horses in a fenced pasture next to extensive woods when movement in brush near the barn drew attention and the horses ran toward the house. Thinking the partly obscured shape outside the fence might be a horse, the witness walked toward it and then saw a tall upright figure covered in reddish hair that grunted, looked at the witness, then pushed through small trees and brush leaving the area with loud heavy footsteps. The witness ran to the house and told relatives who were inside.

Woman tells of creature mumbling and breathing outside bedroom window

Late at night the witness arrived home by car and heard mumbling sounds and noticed an unfamiliar musky odor. Later in bed the witness heard breathing outside the window, heard the screen being pushed and the house struck hard enough to knock pictures down, and saw a tall massive outline that then left toward the creek. Other household members woke and together heard deep howls tapering higher, and a relative saw the upright hair-covered figure from another window.

Hunter hears strange cry, sees creature

The witness was preparing to target shoot when a high-pitched warbling sound was heard nearby. The witness turned toward the sound and saw a large hairy erect figure across the road about 80 feet away that watched for about 30 seconds, vocalized again, then stepped silently into the brush. The witness estimated it was about 7.5 feet tall with long dark brown hair and arms extending almost to the knees.

Pedestrian has nighttime sighting along the Red River

Around 2:30 a.m. on a clear night, the witness was walking home along a road paralleling a river when a strong bad odor and a loud splash drew attention to the water. About 60 feet away, a large, broad-shouldered, dark, long-haired figure stood upright in the river and appeared to be fishing, moving, splashing, and pausing to look around. The witness watched for several minutes while continuing down the road before leaving the area.

The witness was camping with a relative near a lake and got up early to make breakfast. From the campsite area the witness heard two loud howl-like vocalizations coming from across the lake about a mile away. The witness ran toward the lakeshore while listening but saw nothing. The relative was not told until hours later.

The witness and a companion were trying to free their truck after high-centering it on a log when they smelled a strong odor and heard brush breaking in a clearcut below. A tall, brown-haired, man-like figure stepped into a clearing. The witness fired a rifle at it but says he missed, and the creature screamed and ran off.

Rural residents disturbed by nighttime activity near Buffalo Creek

Throughout spring 2004 the witness and several neighbors repeatedly heard what sounded like a bipedal creature walking through woods at night, often while area dogs barked intensely. Plants outside the witness's window were found repeatedly flattened and scratching was heard on a neighbor's house. In May the witness heard a loud distant scream described as a classic Bigfoot scream. The disturbances stopped abruptly in July.

Family in a camper describes stalking outside town of Hatfield

A couple camping overnight in a camper with their children awoke around 2 a.m. to the sound of bipedal footsteps circling the camper. After turning on lights, shouting, and checking outside with a flashlight revealed nothing and the steps repeatedly resumed, the family left for a town parking lot. They returned in the morning but found no tracks in the leaf-covered ground.

Hog hunter watches bigfoot kill hog in Sabine River bottoms.

The witness was hunting hogs from a tree stand at sunrise when he watched a large hairy biped stalk hogs from tree to tree. The animal charged on all fours, killed a hog with blows, then carried it off while exchanging whooping calls with another unseen individual. It paused to stare at the witness before leaving. A hunting partner nearby heard the attack scream and whoops.

The witness describes recurring strange noises around the family home shared with parents, including window banging, howls around dusk, growls, moans, grunts and rocks striking the house. The source was never seen, and indoor and outdoor dogs reportedly failed to react normally. A dank odor was also noted over several days. The activity is presented as ongoing, mainly at night and around dusk.

The witness and a companion hiked the same timber route as the previous day and heard a very loud whooping and howling-like sound nearby. The sound seemed to occur while they were moving and stopped when they stopped. When they returned to the parked vehicle, another person waiting there said he had also heard a loud howling from the timber.

A couple of years ago at a cabin, the witness and a companion went outside at night with a flashlight to investigate a smell and noises. An outhouse fell over, and something stared at them and made a loud noise for a few seconds before running away. Neighbors came out afterward while the witness remained in shock.

She looked out and saw a very large black figure that appeared well above the bottom of the window. She called her parent terrified and hid until she was picked up. Late at night a resident went onto the porch after the outside dog became highly agitated and heard continuous loud shrieking screams, which the spouse also heard. The next morning footprints were found in deep snow leading across a field toward the forest with long strides, and a second set was reported to join the first in the woods. Photographs of the tracks were said to have been taken.

Teens out wandering around bored, hear creature squeal, chased into building

Two companions walking late at night heard rustling moving around them in bushes and heard a squeal, then encountered a huge 8 to 9 foot tall entity that approached them. They fled to a nearby shop, heard a bang, and saw the entity staring at them through the window before it ran away. They remained inside the shop for the rest of the night until morning.
