A couple parked off a dirt road in a Florida state reserve and walked around, turning back from a lower swampy area. After returning to a dirt path, they heard loud banging like hitting trees that alternated back and forth between two directions. They listened briefly, could not explain the purpose, then walked back to the car and left.

Two companions sat in a parked car in Mohican State Park after jokingly making whoop calls, then heard two tree knocks from a steep wooded slope close by. They moved to a more open picnic area where birds grew loud then suddenly stopped, a rock tumbled down a cliff, and the witness saw the left foot, leg and hip of a muscular, short black-haired animal slip behind a tree before they left.
Family hears loud wood knocks at Deer Lakes outside Lake City
On June 12, 2021, the witness family stopped at Upper Mill Pond to fish and watched a moose and calves from their truck. They heard an estimated 8-10 wood knocks from the west tree line from at least three different positions while vehicles came and went. The witness considered people in the woods as possible but later interpreted the sounds as Bigfoot-related after hearing another knock that night at a stargazing stop.

Over two nights they heard single loud wood knocks in the evening, including knocks heard from the hot tub area and near their car. About a minute after the coyotes stopped, a high-pitched wail or moan in three rising intervals was heard from the next ridge to the east. The witness claims familiarity with regional animal sounds, could not identify the sound, and described it as strange and out of place.

Late at night the witness was walking in a rural neighborhood when a deep grunting yell was heard coming from a nearby cornfield. As they left, the movement sound seemed to follow them upstream until a shallow cove, while the companion reported additional knocks the witness did not hear.

After announcing themselves the voice stopped, then something jumped about twenty feet into brush and moved bipedally up the ridge toward them making bad mountain-lion-like sounds. They counted to three and fled to their van.

The witness was hiking alone and stopped for water when loud wood knocking lasting 10-15 seconds was heard. The witness made phone recordings that captured one loud knock plus fainter knocks believed to come from three locations. The witness continued hiking and returned later without further sightings or sounds, noting no other people were nearby due to winter closures.

The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand off a power line in a state wildlife management area on a December afternoon. After hearing heavy breathing and movement, the witness observed a large black hairy human-like figure first on all fours then sitting and standing. The figure vocalized in gibberish-like speech, screamed, grunted, approached to about 30 yards and remained for an extended period before tearing vegetation and moving off. While the witness fled toward a truck, movement paralleled the witness in the woods while vocalizations continued behind, suggesting a second individual, and the witness fired a shot in the air before driving away.

A couple hunting deer from brush heard a loud crunch and saw a tall hairy man-like figure watching them from behind a tree about 60-80 yards away. After briefly looking at each other, they found it had slipped out of view. Minutes later they heard another crunch and glimpsed the same figure heading toward thicker brush near a creek bottom, shortly after which two does hurried past as if fleeing.
