A fisherman listening to elk cross Redwood Creek heard a much larger bipedal splashing that never lost footing in deep water. A huge muscular sasquatch emerged from fog about thirty feet away, gave him a contemptuous look, then walked to where the elk exited and followed them back into fog. He fled back to report it.

On a second trip to the same creek-bed camp, the witness went to bed while three companions stayed up singing loudly. Shortly after they finished, whoops were heard from the treeline across the creek. The area was also said to have prior rock-throwing incidents.

On the second night something bipedal approached with raspy breathing and growled for about fifteen seconds before walking away on two feet. The witness, then a 10-year-old boy, was catching reptiles in a dry creek bed behind his grandparents' rural property when a tall slender ape-like female appeared across the creek with an infant. He crouched and pretended to eat vegetation to avoid provoking her while they observed each other for several minutes. A taller darker male then emerged, bared his teeth and displayed aggressively, and the female positioned herself between the male and the boy. Both creatures then left into the brush, and the boy ran home and told his grandmother, who said she believed him.
