A couple driving south through New Hampshire late at night noticed strange lights that did not look like a jet. The lights approached the road, they heard a buzzing sound, and then experienced missing time before finding themselves displaced in their car.

The witness and her younger sister were talking in a dark bedroom late at night when they heard twigs crunching outside. Looking out the window in bright moonlight, they saw a very large hairy bipedal animal in the yard. Their grandfather came to the room, knocked out the window screen and fired a rifle at it. Over roughly two weeks, staff repeatedly heard footsteps moving through the tent area after dark, saw a dark figure near a hut, and found a director's tent ransacked, with deputies searching each day without finding anyone. On the final night the group heard extremely loud screams that moved from near a remote tent toward a pond and creek and found a large maple branch freshly broken off, leading the witness years later to wonder if the visitor had been a Bigfoot.
