The witness then noticed orange eyeshine and a large dark creature moving low like a spider, which rose onto two legs and chased the deer out of headlight range. After stopping, the witness heard a loud crash in the woods on the opposite side and drove away.

The witness and three friends camped in the park in summer 2019 and hiked the towpath trail near the river after dusk. They had sticks then small rocks thrown behind them, smelled a pungent odor, felt watched, and fled. The witness and a young companion were driving slowly north on Bragg Road with only parking lights on to look for the local lights. A tall dark bipedal figure emerged from woods on the east side about 20 feet in front of the truck and walked slowly across the road. It paused to look toward the occupants, showing eyeshine in the parking lights, then stepped over the road grade into the forest while crunching sounds were heard as it walked away. The witness stopped briefly then left immediately, unsettled by the human-like appearance and size.

After the witness told the entity to back away, the dog returned and they went home.
