As a youth hunting with a small dog, the witness followed the dog down a creek and found a long dark form lying in a dugout in the bank. Looking closer the witness saw feet, a bleeding leg with sand piled on it, breathing and grumbling, and a large hand thrown behind it like a resting person. Frightened, the witness carried the dog away quietly then ran home.

A tall seven-foot figure then ran through chasing what they believed was a hog, which was heard squealing and then going quiet. A smaller all-fours figure with unusual head hair then approached them snarling until a whistle from the woods called it away, and the family fled.
