Loud vocalizations sounds heard
Two companions watching lightning during a storm reportedly heard loud pig-like grunts and screams and noisy movement in dense brush. They also reported seeing red reflected eyes spaced a few inches apart. The animal was described as large, but its size could not be judged because of a steep slope, and no tracks or hair were found afterward.

The guest relayed his father's account of a night when the family was home while the grandfather was away hauling freight. After a foul odor and prolonged barking by the guard dog, a long loud vocalization was heard, the dog was apparently dragged from under the chicken-coop camper, and three household members separately reported red eyes staring through windows. By morning the dog was dead and mutilated, all chickens were gone with feathers and footprints scattered, and the coop hatch had been opened from underneath.

About fifteen people watched a huge spherical object descend over a pasture. Two tall hairy bipeds with glowing green eyes appeared by a fence while a witness fired tracers and live rounds with no effect, then the object vanished and responders found a large glowing area on the ground.

A young boy resting in the upper bunk of a small cabin heard a strange animal-like call followed by footsteps and rustling outside. When he looked through the open shutter window he saw a dark, very hairy face with glowing eyes staring in, which fled when he screamed. The family later estimated anything peering into that high window from the sloped ground would have to be about seven to eight feet tall, but they found no trace the next day.

On night two a separate team driving a roadway saw red eyeshine about ten feet up that turned and crossed the road. They pursued on foot hearing twig snaps and rustling of something large and seeing shifting eyeshine eight to ten feet up. Members then reported feeling ill, disoriented, and trance-like, with the last person feeling lured away from the group.

Shortly after moving into the house, the guest's son woke the guest to report growling at the basement window and said he saw shining eyes there.

The day after hearing the scream, the guest asked neighbors whose woods bordered the sound. The neighbor said she and another person had been sitting on their wood-surrounded deck when something gave a deep guttural growl, and on approaching the edge she saw eyes in the woods, prompting them to go inside. The neighbor also said she often felt watched when walking by those woods.
