Hikers hear knocks from multiple directions 10 miles south of Watertown
The witness was hiking with a relative and a dog when they turned back on the trail. They heard three separate sets of three rhythmic knocks that sounded progressively farther away, noticed the woods had gone quiet and the dog remained alert, and felt watched until reaching the main trail. There was no visual sighting.

Around 4:30 in the morning the witness awoke and heard two loud howls from the direction of the swampland with windows closed. The second was fainter a few seconds later, preceding a train by about 40 seconds. The witness interpreted it as something vocalizing while moving away from the train.

Two brothers were bow-hunting from separate positions before daylight when the woods stayed unusually silent. One morning about 9 a.m. they heard a very loud wood-on-wood knock from a swampy thicket to the northeast about 50 yards away. They reunited at their vehicle and confirmed both had heard the same forceful knock and ruled out a gunshot or falling object.
Knocks heard from Great Croton Swamp south of Pawling
The witness was sitting alone by a campfire late at night when they heard something moving through woods toward neighboring houses, sounding bipedal. Several minutes later they heard a distant wood knock to one side, an answering knock from the opposite direction, then another knock from the first direction. The witness described the sequence as an instantaneous call and response in an otherwise quiet neighborhood.

During lockdown the witness sat by a backyard fire late at night when loud wood-knock-like impacts exchanged between a tree patch near the school and the swampland. Several knocks went back and forth with a pause. The witness reported it to BFRO the next day and later learned of connected woodlands and investigations nearby.

A week later the witness and a companion walked past the same spot in the evening. The witness tried a deer croaker call for the first time and heard a very deep response from the woods. The sound felt unusually powerful and reminded him of the earlier exhale. He has considered it might have been a deer or a mimic.

The witness and a companion were bow hunting before dawn on a remote property. They watched a pair of self-illuminated green eyes that tracked their head movements for over an hour. At twilight the eyes closed and something moved away quietly before giving a loud exhaling sound. Later they estimated the eye height at eight to nine feet and found no tracks.
Possible activity on a farm with beef cattle near Kingston
The [name withheld] and their partner were having a late-night bonfire on a beef farm while playing music. They heard tree knocks and whooping vocalizations coming from both in front of and behind them and noticed a very bad smell. They stayed outside until the sounds stopped and concluded multiple Sasquatch-like beings may be present on the property.

The witness was hiking alone at night on the Appalachian Trail on the return trip down Corbin Hill. Around 9pm the witness heard a single loud 15-second vocalization that began low as a howl and rose higher as a scream. The witness compared it to a deeper gibbon call and said it did not sound like an owl or coyote. No visual contact or further vocalizations were reported, and the witness stated they could not confirm the source.
Tree break in New York (2017)
The witness and a companion spent three days fishing and camping at a remote lake. On calm nights trees fell near camp, and each dawn they heard rhythmic wood-on-wood pounding for nearly an hour. They saw a dark partial figure behind a lakeshore pine, heard a long piercing scream with fast hillside movement, heard distant talk-like sounds and short screams, and found a single large human-like footprint in mud on the way out. They also saw an orange light over the lake that split into smaller lights, followed later by jets overhead.

While walking back out, the pair heard a loud exhaled huff about 30 yards away. The witness saw a tall dark hairy man-like figure peering through the bamboo and his brother viewed it with binoculars. After the witness stepped forward, the creature crashed away loudly through the woods and they hurried back to the truck.

The next morning the pair walked back in daylight to retrieve their blind and gear. Near a bamboo thicket at the top of the trail they heard an extremely loud, deep guttural growl that seemed very close. They froze, then continued past the area to collect their equipment.

They heard owl-like hooting from nearby that shifted into loud monkey-like screaming, followed by loud bipedal running directly behind the blind. They could not see anything with night vision and the sounds stopped abruptly, after which they left for the truck.

The witness was geocaching with three children in a rural wooded park on a sunny afternoon. They heard a very loud crashing sound about 25 to 30 feet away and briefly saw a jet-black elongated shape. They found no branch, impact mark, tracks, or other evidence on the soft ground, and the children were badly frightened.

After dark with snow on the ground, while driving out for dinner, the witness stopped in the woods, struck a tree with a sledgehammer to make a low thump, and moments later got a reply knock from down the ravine. He joked it must be a redneck waiting to reply.

While the first witness was upslope, the other two hunters several hundred yards away along the same ravine heard whoops, loud rapid tree knocks, owls that turned into chicken and pig sounds, rock clacking replies, and large limbs popping in mature pines. They joked about the sounds at the time as bored owls and dismissed them. They later interpreted them as intelligent mimicry and communication coming up out of the ravine.

While hunting turkey alone along a driveway, the witness stalked what looked like a turkey to a ravine shelf, felt watched, then turned and saw a tall reddish-brown upright blur retreat very close behind him. He could not explain it as deer or bird because it made no noise. He moved to the open driveway and then heard extremely loud rapid tree knocks.

The witness took children into woods behind a relative's house and heard distinct wood knocks alternating between two positions about every few minutes for an hour. After the witness made a whoop sound, knocks continued, then a nearby dog barked aggressively and a third position across the road knocked. Interpreting the pattern as an L-shaped ambush, the witness gathered the children back to the house.
Footsteps in New York (2014)
The day after Thanksgiving in 2014 the witness walked with family and a friend to and from a quarry in the dark. Footsteps on one side paced them, stopping when they stopped and starting when they started, maintaining distance over about a quarter to half mile. They shone flashlights behind them and saw nothing, and the follower did not pass a certain point on the return.

About a year later the guest was awake late at night in a bedroom with a partly open window. A loud two-toned scream from near the driveway shook the room and was answered from farther away, terrifying the guest who fled to get a parent. The parent attributed the sound to foxes, but the guest later felt the sound matched a vocalization heard on the podcast.
