The couple left the trail to look for sheds and reached a slipping area of soft dirt from old logging. They found what looked like two barefoot prints with toe impressions where loggers would not have left prints. The prints led to an old grown logging trail, they heard an unidentified knock-like noise, and they left.

The witness and companions were calling coyotes at the edge of a field at night when they noticed yellowish eyeshine behind a tree. They watched through scopes as the source of the eyeshine moved behind the tree, crouched low, briefly disappeared, reappeared nearby, crouched again and then vanished. An apparent wood knock had been heard earlier in the outing.

The witness stepped onto a porch in a remote Appalachian area to listen to coyotes. About a minute after the coyotes stopped, a high-pitched wail or moan in three rising intervals was heard from the next ridge to the east. The witness claims familiarity with regional animal sounds, could not identify the sound, and described it as strange and out of place.
Possible vocalizations after midnight from cornfield near Wonder Lake
Late at night the witness was walking in a rural neighborhood when a deep grunting yell was heard coming from a nearby cornfield. The witness also recalls hearing heavy walking or footfalls just before the yell. The sound was described as echoing and startling, and no visual of the source was reported.

The witness and a companion were night fishing from a boat on a river backwater late at night. Over about an hour they heard several loud knock-like sounds from the treeline and ridge, sometimes answering each other from different distances, plus a close splash and the sound of something large moving along the bank. As they left, the movement sound seemed to follow them upstream until a shallow cove, while the companion reported additional knocks the witness did not hear.
Odor near Lake Quinault, Washington (2021)
During their first year in Lake Quinault, the guest and his wife repeatedly noticed a musky smell drifting through open windows around late evening and heard single loud bangs on the vacant house next door in the early morning. Floodlights would trigger but nothing was seen.
Tracks in Georgia (2021)
Since about 2021 the witness reports ongoing activity around his Georgia hunting property: a deep 15-inch footprint and an 8-inch track, peanut butter jars removed without triggering trail cameras, snapped-off trees, whistles, a tater rake disappearing and reappearing, pebble-sized rocks hitting his blind, and chickens taken through a hole four feet up. The only direct sighting was last week when scanning a power line edge revealed 4-5 foot high paired red eyes that ducked behind a tree and vanished.

While outside near dark the witness and friend looked uphill and saw a huge furry leg from shin down through vines. The witness shined a truck light on it confirming hair moving. After a whistle from the hollow they looked back and it was gone.

The witness and his college friend were walking a valley when the friend whooped and received two whoops back from another direction. The witness then saw a small jet-black upright figure peeking from behind a tree. Loud beating like metal, laughter-like chatter, and footsteps on multiple sides followed them as they left uphill toward the house.
Paranormal encounter near Wahiawa, Hawaii (2021)
Two soldiers left for dead in a training exercise waited in a Humvee in the dark jungle when one turned on a headlamp and saw a pale woman with long black hair peeking through the rear flap. They heard shuffling and running footsteps with no one visible and later heard a woman whispering over a radio with no frequency loaded, leaving them frightened all night.

A light reflected eyes in a tree, then something growled, showed large teeth, and approached as snow crunched. The guest and his bandmate approached a cave and heard a gentle male voice speaking an unintelligible strange language for about thirty seconds. After announcing themselves the voice stopped, then something jumped about twenty feet into brush and moved bipedally up the ridge toward them making bad mountain-lion-like sounds. They counted to three and fled to their van.

On a quiet August evening the witness opened the back door to let the dog out and heard a very loud bullhorn-like vocal from across the river twice within seconds. He listened but it did not repeat. He later felt it matched vocals heard on shows.

The witness made phone recordings that captured one loud knock plus fainter knocks believed to come from three locations. The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand off a power line in a state wildlife management area on a December afternoon. After hearing heavy breathing and movement, the witness observed a large black hairy human-like figure first on all fours then sitting and standing. The figure vocalized in gibberish-like speech, screamed, grunted, approached to about 30 yards and remained for an extended period before tearing vegetation and moving off. While the witness fled toward a truck, movement paralleled the witness in the woods while vocalizations continued behind, suggesting a second individual, and the witness fired a shot in the air before driving away.

A couple hunting deer from brush heard a loud crunch and saw a tall hairy man-like figure watching them from behind a tree about 60-80 yards away. After briefly looking at each other, they found it had slipped out of view. Minutes later they heard another crunch and glimpsed the same figure heading toward thicker brush near a creek bottom, shortly after which two does hurried past as if fleeing.

The witness was driving at night to a cabin to quarantine after testing positive for illness. A buck walked into the road and stared toward a tree line instead of at the vehicle. The witness then noticed orange eyeshine and a large dark creature moving low like a spider, which rose onto two legs and chased the deer out of headlight range. After stopping, the witness heard a loud crash in the woods on the opposite side and drove away.
Knocks heard near Spectacle Pond, 27 miles east of Bangor
The witness had been staying at his camp for over a week and stepped outside late at night before bed. From just inside the woodline a short distance away he heard repeated loud thwacks like wood striking a tree, about ten times over a few minutes and sounding progressively more distant. It was pitch dark so he saw nothing, and he heard no footsteps or brush noise despite dense woods. The next morning he searched the area in daylight and found no sign.

The witness and two companions were stopped on a highway in an isolated forested area after their car broke down. They heard three long howl-like vocalizations that they said did not sound like coyotes or cows. The area was unusually quiet with no insect sounds.
