About a year after the first sighting, the witness returned to hunt the same woods and heard someone walking. After calling out and firing a shot in the air, something charged through the brush breaking branches. He fled and ran all the way home without looking back.

The guest had an old friend visiting and they sat by a fire, then walked to the lane where the friend was parked. They heard several sounds like poor impressions of owls, then coyotes, and hills to the west and northwest erupted with many similar callers for almost a minute. The sound then changed again to an indescribable impression before fading, and the friend left.

After moving to a rural property on a river, the guest was outside late at night because he could not sleep. From about a mile and a half away he heard a long sustained howl he compared to the Ohio howl. It did not frighten him because of the distance, and he took it as a sign the creatures were also present there.

After moving in, the couple heard whistles, whoops, footsteps and had pebbles thrown, with trail cameras failing. On a cold night about a year ago they sat quietly with lights off, heard a group approach talking, then lit them with flashlights. They describe one tall figure by a deck, one smaller figure lying prone that blinked, others peeking from trees, and others slapping buildings as a distraction before all left down a ridge.

She recounts seeing watchers at her bedroom window, an arm taking food, a form under a trailer, and a close daytime sighting across the road that sent her under a car. The witness walked down steps to a river fishing spot very early in the morning and watched what he first thought was a bear pulling fish from the water while mumbling and grunting. When a light came on he dropped his rod, the creature stood, turned its torso, showed its teeth, held up a catfish and swayed while slapping the fish. After the witness looked down to grab his rod, the creature quickly disappeared under the river bank.

A few weeks later the guest returned to the same area with three companions and camped in the pines. After limb-snapping and a deep primate-like call, something approached the tent at night, growled in front and then circled it with light footsteps on pine needles. At daylight they found a large footprint-like impression inches behind the tent where one companion's head had been.

During a winter night investigation with two companions, the group heard a distant call and later a very close growl near their trucks after dousing the fire. The guest growled back and the unseen animal exchanged escalating growls and a scream about seven or eight times. The sound then faded as if leaving, and the group left.

While camped on BLM land near Badlands National Park, the couple heard distressed cows for hours and noticed one dog refuse to leave the truck. During a moonlit walk they lay down to look at stars, their dog barked, and they saw a very large black canine-like figure about sixty yards away with no eye shine that seemed to absorb flashlight beams while panting loudly. A second closer larger figure seen by the boyfriend flanked them, both followed the couple about a quarter mile back toward camp before disappearing, after which cows vocalized again.

The night after returning home the witness woke with eyes closed and heard a loud scream and a clear wood knock inside his head. He then saw a close vision of a large black-haired face with gray skin. He was not frightened and felt it was the same individual seen on the trail.

The witness was camping with a friend and the friend's parent and walked to a pond after midnight. From woods across the water came a blood-curdling scream lasting seconds, then after silence a second scream that turned into a deep roar. No movement or footsteps were heard and they went back to bed.

Before snowfall they heard a high-pitched yell from across the valley that resembled a known howl recording. Later her partner reported wood knocks at night, and they found small pines pushed over in odd ways.
