While the group talked around a campfire, a recorder left about one hundred twenty yards away captured what sounded like two individuals communicating. The recording was described as clear monkey-like talk rather than screams. The witness offered to share the audio for cleanup and analysis.

The witness with two companions followed pig trails to a washed-out area during the day. Two large brown figures with light streaks near the ears were seen about ninety yards away, one turning its head between the other figure and the group. The witness spent the night alone by a bridge cooking fish. Stones were repeatedly thrown from both sides of the road, with one leaving a mark on the vehicle. A loud smack on the metal bridge, a growl, and a large crash in the woods were also heard and recorded. The witness stayed all night talking aloud to cope and now avoids going alone.

The witness and a companion walked slowly with low lights near a camp by a waterway. A very loud wood-on-wood impact like a large branch hitting a tree sounded nearby. The companion remained calm while the witness wanted to leave. They walked backward to the vehicle and ended the night.

The witness describes staying alone by a lake after a fishing trip. After turning off a radio to listen to the woods, three loud vocalizations were heard from behind and to both sides. Two sounded like high-pitched wailing screams. Frightened, the witness retrieved a boom box, returned to a camper, and left that night.

At night the witness stood at his horse fence and heard obvious bipedal crunching footsteps about 40 to 50 feet away. When he turned his flashlight on the steps stopped with nothing visible, and when off they resumed. This repeated until it moved out of earshot.

At night after his dogs went crazy the witness stepped onto pallet wood to shine a light into the woods. He heard an extremely loud wood knock like one telephone pole hitting another. He could not explain how a human made it.

The witness went outside at night to turn off a garden spigot and heard a loud low guttural growl from about ten feet away, then felt oddly calm while turning off the water.
Unidentified sound in Pennsylvania
After moving into a house backing onto woods, the witness and family repeatedly heard tapping on windows at night. The witness once searched outside with a dog and firearm but found nothing. Later the children heard tapping and a voice mimicking their mother calling their names, after which the witness set traps and then used sulfur deterrents with his father's help, after which the activity stopped.

About two weeks later the same three men returned to a nearby picnic ground on the same river to night fish again. They heard rustling like small animals in leaves that seemed to circle them, followed by unintelligible whisper-like voices that felt very close and could not be located. Feeling the same intense fear as before, they stood back-to-back with firearms then withdrew to their car and left the gear, later learning from a ranger that the bend was where drowned bodies were recovered.

The witness was night hiking with three companions along a canal road when he heard a loud guttural growl and saw a large tree shaking violently across a grassy field. Two small dark bipedal creatures then ran from the tree line toward him, stopped and crouched halfway across the field while watching him. He watched them briefly, then rejoined his companions who had noticed nothing, and the group left the area.

On another night the brothers were fishing without a light at a pond on posted university land. They heard loud snorting, growling, and heavy running back and forth close behind them. Feeling threatened, they left immediately.
