After hearing howling earlier, heavy rhythmic bipedal steps approached along the treeline and stopped about twenty feet away, then retreated very quietly with only twigs breaking. Closer multiple howls followed, so they grabbed their gear and fled in their vehicle, later noticing strange cloud shapes while driving east in shock.

The witness was driving slowly on a logging road late at night with hounds on the truck box looking for furbearer scent. The dogs reacted strongly and the witness heard loud crunching approaching from behind on the road. Believing a very large bipedal entity was closing to within about 50 feet, the witness accelerated away to the paved road and did not return alone.

The witness was with several friends at baseball fields surrounded by woods at a place called the Lions Pit. They heard a distant howl or growl that grew louder and closer until it seemed only feet away, described as anguished, angry and unlike any known animal. They heard no footsteps. The witness and a companion were camping overnight by a creek in a swampy forest around midnight. They heard footsteps approaching along the creek to within about 30 yards, followed by loud screaming/howl-like vocalizations and sounds of a tree being torn up. The companion stepped a short distance into the woods to speak toward the sounds while the witness stayed by the fire with a shotgun without firing. After a few minutes the sounds and movement stopped and the source left without being seen.

The witness returned from fetching snacks to a foul odor and a feeling of being watched. The witness saw something crouched in a tree with a leg hanging and later a head watching from behind a shooting target, then heard the loud bark-like vocalization. The group fled and later found fire, shredded supplies, flattened vegetation and hair.

Dogs stared down a trail as a large dark shadow crossed it in one step with heavy thumping footsteps. A partner later measured the crossing height at just over eight feet and found freshly twisted saplings and missing riverside boulders.

The witness describes riding horses with a friend for several days and stopping at a spring. He walked to a cliff after smelling a strong odor and saw a huge hairy human-like figure. He spoke to it, heard it grunt and growl, heard a distant whoop and a loud tongue-pop like a wood knock, then watched it climb the cliff with its arms and disappear.

Five teenagers were skateboarding and staying overnight at a half-pipe ramp they built in woods near a swamp. After smelling a rancid odor all day and seeing glimpses, at night in candlelight one witness came face to face at five to six feet with a 7-8 foot tall hairy creature that made a loud robotic ARK bark. They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

Four teenage friends were spending the night around a large fire inside an abandoned steel-mill building. After wild dogs chased something over a nearby coke pile and were thrown off, a massive wolf-like creature appeared on the mound, then confronted the group, stood upright, growled, and followed them into the building up to the third floor while drooling heavily. A passing train sounded its horn, frightening the creature away, after which the group waited before fleeing on foot back to a friend's house.

The witness drove off a gravel road to follow an old trail and entered a small meadow around noon. A hair-covered juvenile rose from behind a log, glanced at him, then dropped to all fours and walked quickly into the treeline. The witness followed on foot partway, heard sharp knocking sounds from two directions, and then left the area. He later estimated the log distance at about forty-one yards.

The witness and friends drove to a remote gravel road to party at night. After a loud crash from a tree, something bipedal circled them making growling sounds and then gave a loud roar they could feel. It stepped into the spotlight as a massive white figure, climbed a bank in three steps and rushed their truck before they fled, later returning in daylight to find impressions on the bank.

A British businesswoman on a work trip to California spent a Saturday afternoon photographing sea otters on a beach south of Carmel. She watched six large hairy bipedal creatures enter the cove, with the largest male pulling seaweed from the water for the females to chew and rub on themselves. When a camera part clattered on rocks the male charged, argued vocally with a female, then screamed, slammed its fists and urinated before the witness blacked out. She later woke bruised near her car with her jacket pulled over her head and reported the incident to hotel staff and police, who told her she had seen bears.
