In the very early morning their dog became agitated and they heard movement among brick piles across the lake, followed by about a dozen repeated pickup-like sounds and splashes near their tent. The creature walked slightly stooped, with long hair waving as it moved, and then disappeared from view.

The witness was walking alone on a small gravel road toward fishing holes near two rivers at sunset. A reddish-brown creature came fast through the woods to the right, heading toward the witness, then turned toward the river before reaching the road. The witness saw it from the side from the shoulders down at about 25 to 30 feet and estimated it was at least seven feet tall. After a moment of shock, the witness headed back home.

With a teammate he watched a large upright heavy broad-shouldered man-like figure step into the moonlit clearing, huff loudly, then run upright swinging its arms across the clearing and disappear. The whole platoon awoke and rapidly packed to move in the opposite direction.

They heard a distant roar that suddenly sounded a few feet away, lit the area with a spotlight, and saw a tall upright creature with its back to them that ran and then paused. The creature roared again when shot at and pushed over a green cottonwood before the group left.

The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.
