Military man on training exercises witnesses three, black, bipedal animals
The witness was part of a demolitions training convoy descending to a staging area when three hair-covered bipedal creatures were seen watching from the middle of a quarry. The middle individual was tallest and stood still while the two smaller flankers rocked side to side. The daytime sighting lasted about 25-30 seconds, shortly after a whoop-like sound was heard from beyond the work area.

The witness left friends in the closed ski resort parking lot and hiked alone uphill to the edge of thick forest. After hearing a stick break behind him, he turned away from the trees and then heard a loud deep yell lasting several seconds. Startled, he ran back down the clearing to his friends.

Two loggers arriving before daylight found fresh large tracks in snow at a landing and followed them briefly. Later while working the witness felt watched, heard a stick-banging sound on a tree that he could not locate, and noticed deer had left the area. The boss believed the tracks were sasquatch, and the witness came to believe a bigfoot was watching them.

During a Memorial Day backpack trip to Packwood Lake, the witness lagged behind companions on the lakeside trail and heard a voice in his head about bigfoot sleeping on the island. The next early morning while alone in a float tube, he heard a very large tree fall and then heard loon-like calls back and forth without seeing birds. He now interprets the fall as pushed over and the calls as not loons.

The witness had climbed out of a deer stand at dark and sat at a tree base after hearing walking and rustling. A very loud scream starting deep and rising high occurred close by and physically shook him. He ran from the woods and never returned for the stand.

The guest built a large fire in an open old logging camp to attract attention. After midnight he stared for many minutes at a pair of nocturnal eyes about sixty-five to seventy feet away behind a small tree. Next morning he found large human-shaped flattened grass prints leading to that tree, and shortly after leaving camp something huge crashed bipedally away through the timber.

Alone at night, the witness heard ransacking sounds from the basement followed by a chilling howl that agitated her cat. She guarded the stair door with a gun until morning and found nothing disturbed except an interior door left open.

A light revealed a hairy biped standing in the sandy trail, and the light was held on its face long enough to see eyes, a raised lip and teeth. The group fled in panic to camp, woke the adult in charge, and many youths left that night as officials later searched with vehicles and aircraft.

The guest says that while camped with family about a mile from their main camp, his young daughter screamed and then he heard an unknown scream from the woods. He imitated it and traded screams back and forth. He later used the imitation on research outings to elicit replies that were recorded.

At the camp, small debris and a large rock were thrown from a limestone cliff, glowing eyes were seen, and an intense growl with physical vibration effects occurred. A tall upright wolf-like creature then approached on the trail, and the witness prayed and fired two shots while the camping partner fired at a second presence by a tree.

The witness and a fellow officer camped in a remote forested area for turkey hunting. During the afternoon return and after dark they were paralleled, heard knocks and strange metallic sounds, and had wood and a heavy rock thrown from a cliff. A tall upright wolf-like creature approached the camp as a deep growl vibrated their chests, the witness prayed and fired, the partner fired at a second figure, then they fled by truck and saw two tall hairy figures in the headlights before something struck the truck as they escaped.
8' tall bigfoot crosses a road in one bound
The witness was pausing on a bike ride on a forest road while waiting for a young relative riding behind. Something dark with a reddish tone emerged from the woods, crossed the road in a step and a leap, then hopped a fence and disappeared. The witness estimated it as much taller than the witness.

During foggy opening-day gun season the witness waited in a bowl where ridges met and heard something descend. He saw two amber self-illuminated eyes with vertical slits slightly below eye level despite a downhill angle. It then left through woods, conveying a non-aggressive sense of presence.

Two teenagers camped across a small stream in South Fork Canyon during a multi-day backpacking trip. After dark by the campfire they heard something wade through the stream and circle the campsite two or three times. The surrounding woods fell silent, which the witness later interpreted as the presence of a larger predator.

The witness had been dropped on the Indiana side of the Ohio River to hunt for arrowheads and stopped to rest and eat in a runoff channel. Two small human-like figures about three feet tall, dressed in breechcloths and leggings, walked around the edge into view. After a brief buzzing or humming sound and mutual staring, both turned and walked away without alarm.

The witness arrived with a companion at a house after a Christmas party and heard an odd duck-like sound. The companion stopped while the witness kept walking toward the sound. Two drivers at a nearby intersection reported something huge walking between their trucks toward the witness, then running away so fast it outpaced a truck down an alley.

Eight high school friends were camping and sitting around a campfire when they heard steady footsteps climb a steep hill, stop at the crest, then sprint away. When two went to investigate a loud high-pitched scream stopped them. Later that night in the van a companion saw a hairy arm reach in the window and take food, which was found strewn toward the woods.

On a solo elk hunt in the same area the witness hiked through stripped timber and a bone scatter to a bowl holding many bedded deer. While returning near sunset he was followed by something matching his steps that he could not see, then heard growls from behind and across the creek. He kept a fire lit while packing and left camp, later reconsidering cougars as the source after hearing similar growls described as Sasquatch-related.
Daylight sighting by a horseback rider, near a pond in Redwood National Park
The witness was horseback riding with friends and stopped for lunch when crashing was heard in the brush. The witness rode toward the noise to look for elk and watched a small hair-covered creature trying to drink from a pool about 30 feet away. The horse became agitated so the witness left to tell friends, who returned and heard movement and saw ferns moving as something left toward the larger creek. The witness believed the crashing was made by a larger animal accompanying the young creature.
