While alone at a deserted campground at night the witness heard a strange bird-like call about a hundred feet away. Minutes later the same call came from a bush right in front of him. He did not investigate the thick bush and left.

The witness took a friend for a drive up a canyon toward Gateway to show a strange concrete desk in a field. After hopping a fence and walking in the dark, a loud roar sounded and a large upright figure stood very close. Both men fled to the car and drove away without discussing it at the time.

While checking timber lots for a paper mill job in the afternoon, the witness heard a chimpanzee-like sound and found a large primate-like animal squatted with its back to him. The animal stood, watched him, then walked through the river and ran off to the west. He later described its face and hands in detail and learned from his grandmother that locals called it a bugger.

The witness and a friend were maintaining a camp fire at night behind the friend's house near a wooded ravine. When the witness stepped toward the ravine to gather twigs, he saw a tall black form standing in tall weeds below and watched it move side to side before it looked up showing red eye reflection. After the friend also looked and fled to the house, the form ran across the creek toward a field and the witness ran inside.

Daylight sighting of a Bigfoot outside Muscle Shoals

Two companions were deer hunting near their camp in the late afternoon when they heard loud popping sounds, heavy footsteps, and a foul odor. A large hair-covered biped stepped out of the treeline across a logging road and stared at them without moving or making noise. After a brief stare the creature stepped back into the woods and the witnesses fled and have avoided hunting deep in that area since.

Possible nighttime encounter at a rural home near the village of Jane

The witness went outside at night after dogs began barking and heard what sounded like bipedal footsteps in the woods behind the house. The footsteps approached after the witness called out, and a normally fearless dog retreated from the treeline. The witness inferred the source was very tall from the interval between steps and fired two shots into the ground, after which the footsteps calmly receded.

Rock throwing incident at Woods Canyon Lake

The witness was fishing at a lake spillway in the afternoon when a basketball-sized rock flew through trees from an upslope hill to the east and landed in the lake. Birds that had been chirping went quiet, and another nearby fisherman who also saw it left. The witness later smelled a strong skunk-like odor upwind.

Two occupants of a Jeep returning to base camp late at night noticed a large, dark, upright figure walking in the road ahead of their headlights. The figure, described as broad, massive and moving smoothly, stepped off into a ditch and into the woods as the vehicle approached. After stopping, one occupant heard sounds in the woods and both then saw a head-and-shoulders shape move quickly between trees before the area went quiet.

Three friends were sitting in a fenced backyard at dusk after playing softball when they noticed two spinning white lights in the tops of tall evergreens. Moments later a small, heavy, furry creature with a human-like face crawled from behind a wheelbarrow, looked at them, then ran uphill on all fours with loud heavy footfalls and cleared an eight-foot shed into the trees where the lights had been. Two of them started to investigate with a shovel and flashlight while the third reported a bright shooting star, then they left to meet friends. They have reported no similar activity at the house before or since.

At about 10pm the witness and his wife heard a young deer wailing for over six minutes as other deer fled. Next morning he found that deer with a hind leg ripped from the socket and head pulled off about 10-12 feet away with a muddy footprint on its leg, and the body was gone the following morning except the head.

The witness was camping with family by a pond on the property when a very loud roar or scream was heard from a couple hundred feet away. Frogs and insects went silent, and a large splash like a stone was heard in the pond. The group left in the middle of the night and never camped there again.

At night the guest saw a face in the living room window reflection with bared teeth and darting eyes that exhaled and fogged the glass. It left the porch with loud footsteps and slapped windows at the back of the house. The guest armed himself with a rifle, stayed in the hallway all night, and moved out the next morning.

After turning on work lights, the witness got a clear view before the entity screamed and ran off with long smooth strides. The witness states this was their second sighting in the area.

Two men report powerful vocalizations behind neighborhood

Two people talking in a residential driveway at night heard an extremely loud, deep howl/growl/moan echo across the valley three times over about one to two minutes. Dogs in the area barked and the witness's dog then shivered and stared toward the hill behind the house before retreating to its doghouse. The witnesses felt frightened and said the sound was unlike known local wildlife. No source was seen and no further sounds were heard that night.

The witness got a truck stuck in snow on the Sturgis Creek trail area and started walking down the road to find a phone. From behind near the trailhead area the witness heard very loud screaming and howling sounds echoing off the valley walls. The sound repeated about seven times and was described as ending abruptly rather than trailing off. The witness continued walking while watching behind, with a rifle safety off.

Man sees creature peering at him from behind a fence

The witness was cutting wood while visiting a relative's property when he heard rustling in nearby woods. After checking the area without finding the source, he returned to a clearing and saw a man-like hair-covered face peering at him from behind a fence. The two stared at each other for about five minutes until the witness called for a relative, at which point the creature calmly walked away and was also seen by the relative.

Man Hears Evening Vocals in Prior Sighting Area

Late at night the witness heard loud, complex bark- and growl-like vocalizations coming from a ravine near the house. The sounds were described as louder and more structured than dogs, coyotes, or other familiar animals, and local dogs began barking during the episode. An attempted audio recording failed, and the sounds eventually stopped. The next day the witness found trampled vegetation, a coyote carcass, tarp pieces, a dog dish, and scat near the estimated sound source.

Two companions deer hunting walked toward their vehicle when they heard a low rumble and splashes at a drinking hole. They then watched an upright grayish-brown creature for about a minute as it lingered and walked over a ridge out of sight. They described it as 7 to 8 feet tall, heavily built with very long arms, and insisted it never dropped to all fours like a bear.

The witness was riding an ATV down a washed-out road on a family farm when he briefly saw a tall, massive furred animal about 150-200 yards away that reflected sunlight and then retreated into thickets. After approaching the spot, he heard loud running with breaking limbs, then two loud bangs like wood knocks, followed by prolonged deer snorting and stomping before he left. He returned the next day to photograph suspected footprints and hair found on a limb.
