Hikers hear growl, wood knocking, have rock thrown at them
While hiking with a companion, the witness heard a low growling sound that the companion did not hear. Moments later a baseball-sized rock landed where the witness had just been standing, with no visible source. The pair then heard loud wood-on-wood impacts first ahead on the hill and then behind them, which they could not explain. They reported no sighting, odor, or footprints, and nearby hikers with dogs showed no unusual reaction.

The witness and a companion were walking down from a mountain near a river when they noticed a noise behind them. After both stopped at the same time, they heard a sound described as like someone chasing them.
Girl hears howls at family residence
The witness was sitting alone at home while a relative was asleep. The witness heard a distant high-pitched howling scream that continued for several minutes. The witness tried unsuccessfully to wake the relative to serve as an additional witness and then tried to ignore the ongoing sounds.

A family of three walking with their dog on a de-activated service road stopped briefly when they heard a deep growl and noticed a strong musky odor. The husband saw a large black bipedal figure running through the bushes parallel to the road about 80 yards away. The group went a short distance farther, smelled the odor again, then turned back after the son refused to continue and the dog yelped and ran back to them.
Stalking in swamp during Florida BFRO expedition
The witness camped in a forested swamp area after dusk and reported hearing large animals moving around the camp in a triangular pattern, breaking branches and knocking on trees, including between the camp and a nearby vehicle. Later that night with others present, the witness reported a strange gurgling sound followed by a prolonged bout of tree knocking. The witness suggested the sounds implied dexterous animals and doubted humans could move that quickly in the dark swamp.
Hog hunter hears possible vocalizations in the late afternoon near Erhardt
The witness was hunting feral pigs from a stand on a dike in a South Carolina swamp in the late afternoon. He heard loud, rapid ape-like 'ooow' vocalizations from the swamp behind him, after which other animal sounds stopped and wildlife fled. He left the stand before dark and later reported finding no tracks on the soft sandy road.
Footprints found in the snow in Red Lake
Large footprints were reported on Feb. 6, 2005 in Red Lake, Minnesota, found along a swamp, near an elementary school, and around homes. The prints were described as about 17 inches long and 6 inches wide with a long stride, with over a hundred found. Woman-like screams were reported from the swamp area while dogs were barking around 2 a.m.

The witness and her husband were sitting on their front porch enjoying warm weather and talking. They heard a loud scream that seemed to come from behind their house toward the creek. No creature was seen.

The witness got lost after dark on a misty rainy night in February while hunting in the bottoms and tried to follow a creek out. He shined a light and sensed bodies on both sides of the creek bed, followed by sudden commotion of leaves, heavy movement and breathy grunting. The sounds moved behind him about thirty feet and then stopped abruptly without fading into the distance, which he later interpreted as the same group of creatures.

Two companions stopped their ATV in a wooded area and heard a primate-like whooping call lasting several seconds. The witness associated the sound with a recorded call heard on a television program. They searched for tracks afterward but found none.

He walked into commotion on both sides with heavy movement and breathy grunting that shifted behind him and stopped. He first told it as hogs but later believed it was a family group near his later sighting location.
Hikers spot a dark figure walking on a snowy mountainside near Winnemucca
The witness was exploring snowy mountain terrain with two relatives when a young relative pointed out a dark figure on a mountaintop. Shortly after their dog hid under a vehicle, the group heard a low howl and watched the figure move downhill. They left the area shaken, having also noticed a destroyed cow carcass on the way up.
Family hears unusual calls
The witness was walking a dog on a residential hillside after dark when an unfamiliar loud howling/yelling sound was heard repeating at intervals. The witness brought a spouse outside to listen, noting that no local dogs were barking at first. After a time a dog began barking and the unfamiliar sound stopped and did not return that night.

After hearing a loud pop near the deck during a heavy snowstorm, the witness and his partner found a straight line of large footprints with a five-foot stride and no drag leading from under the house 50-70 yards into the woods and down the mountain, which they concluded could not be a person.
Man shoots at creature attacking cattle
The witness was inspecting a field with a relative when they noticed something hunched over attacking cattle. The witness shouted and the creature stood up to about eight feet tall. The witness retrieved a shotgun from a truck, fired once and hit the creature, which fell, got up, screamed and sprinted away like a human. The witness followed a blood trail to a river where it was lost.

After moving into a [name withheld] vacant three years, the witness and her nine-year-old son heard loud bipedal thumps that shook the [name withheld] wall. She distinguished them from neighboring Clydesdales and found nothing on looking outside, believing it already in woods.
Sasquatch sighting near Great Barrington, Massachusetts (2005)
The witness was camping with his uncle at a lakeside campsite near the state line. After noticing eyeshine the first night and seeing other campers flee the ATV area, he woke at night to see two large hairy creatures at the campsite. The creatures took the food cooler into the woods where more eyeshine was seen, and left a large handprint on the vehicle sunroof.
Sasquatch sighting near Gateway, Colorado (2005)
The witness and a friend drove up a canyon to visit a remote field with a strange concrete desk. After hopping a fence and walking in, they heard a loud roar and the witness turned to see a very tall muscular figure standing close by. Both men fled to the car and drove away without speaking about it at first.
Tracks in Connecticut (2005)
The witness drove to the end of Legion Road in American Legion State Forest and found large impressions in spongy moss. After making a hand-pop sound, he heard loud bangs and a tree fall across the road blocking his car. He found a similar 14-inch impression at the base of the fallen tree, dragged the tree aside with his car, and returned the next day to cast one print.
Whistle near Coquille, Oregon (2005)
The witness had hung apples to signal friendliness and returned a week later with his wife. In pitch darkness they heard spaced faint whistles from the forest. On leaving he saw an object with head and shoulders pop up from a bush and duck back.
