After trying brighter lights she got in the van to get thermal, closed the slider, and heard a loud growl very close. She stayed quiet overnight hearing howls and screams, and her friend found suspicious tracks and hair the next morning.

Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

She reported a brief side view of a tall, dark, hairy bipedal animal running awkwardly into the woods and disappearing. The witness was driving home at night on a dirt backroad when something struck the truck, leaving scratches and a dent on the passenger door. After calling for help, the witness with two relatives found footprints along the road and photographed them. While photographing they saw green eye-shine above the brush and a large upright shadowy outline, then heard wood knocks, growling and heavy footsteps before the eyes disappeared.

The witness and a companion were walking up a remote dirt road at night looking for snowboarding hills when they heard a strange sound and found large bare-foot-like prints with visible toes in the snow. After discussing the prints, which were wider and longer than a 12-inch flashlight with a very long stride, a nearby tree began shaking violently and dropping snow and branches, prompting them to run back to the car and leave.

Two siblings camped in a remote forest clearing and heard movement, a log being turned, then three extremely loud long screams from about 100 yards away. They hid in their tent, and in the middle of the night the witness heard unintelligible deep speech-like talking very close outside. In the morning they found large barefoot prints behind a bush and later found their tent flipped over when they returned.

Late at night at home, the witness and three companions heard banging on the deck and went outside to investigate. In moonlight they saw a large shape kneeling on the lawn that stood and ran across the lawn, through a puddle, and up a driveway. The group later heard low growling and groaning, and the following afternoon the witness found a large footprint in a nearby sandbox.

The witness was on an early spring morning walk along a two-track through swampy woods when she heard movement and saw a large white figure moving quickly away about 50 yards away through dense undergrowth. She followed it visually for some distance and noted its rapid movement and swinging arms. The next day she returned to the same area and found very large footprints with only three toes visible and widely spaced, which she interpreted as confirming the figure was not a human.

The witness and a companion were walking through an overgrown orchard near the witness's home in late afternoon when they heard a loud stomping sound nearby. They then saw the partial rear view of a large upright hair-covered animal moving away into dense brush while making a guttural sound, and both fled to the house. The guest relayed his father's account of a night when the family was home while the grandfather was away hauling freight. After a foul odor and prolonged barking by the guard dog, a long loud vocalization was heard, the dog was apparently dragged from under the chicken-coop camper, and three household members separately reported red eyes staring through windows. By morning the dog was dead and mutilated, all chickens were gone with feathers and footprints scattered, and the coop hatch had been opened from underneath.

No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.

When the witness was about seven, the family found very large footprints on a Lake Superior beach. While leaving through the woods toward the car they heard loud screeching and something large jumping nearby without being seen. They left quickly in the car, with the witness feeling the source was too big to be people.

The witness reports recurring nighttime activity over many years at her parents' wooded property. She and others hear footsteps pacing them along the tree line, loud crashing movement, screeching sounds and cracking noises, often accompanied by a strange smell. Family members and visitors have also reported red eyeshine and ape-like figures, and large footprints were found in snow. An investigator later visited, interviewed family members and noted unusual stick and vegetation features in the woods.

Later that morning his brother found gigantic footprints by the mailbox and his father tracked 18-inch prints going north to the neighbor's then back south to the barn, suggesting something had watched him.
