Afterward the witness heard whistles and a low guttural sound, felt unwelcome and unwell, waited, then later sketched what was seen.

Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

On the night of April 18, 2020 the witness was at home when a dog began barking persistently and a loud guttural growl was heard at the back door, also noticed by a cat. The witness and a companion spent three days fishing and camping at a remote lake. On calm nights trees fell near camp, and each dawn they heard rhythmic wood-on-wood pounding for nearly an hour. They saw a dark partial figure behind a lakeshore pine, heard a long piercing scream with fast hillside movement, heard distant talk-like sounds and short screams, and found a single large human-like footprint in mud on the way out. They also saw an orange light over the lake that split into smaller lights, followed later by jets overhead.
