Strange encounters and possible tracks found in a swamp near the Douglas State Forest
The witness was clearing a trail by a swamp when they heard two splashes from across the water without seeing the source. While on the phone, they saw a football-sized rock fly through the air about three-quarters of the way across the swamp and land in the water. No creature was seen, only the rock in flight and the splashes.

A couple hiking in the woods heard a close grunt and brief heavy movement, then continued on. About an hour later on the return leg they found six fresh, very deep human-like barefoot prints with deer tracks in hard mud where they had seen nothing earlier. They took cell phone photos, grew uneasy and disoriented, and left by a different path without seeing any animal or person.
Wood Knocks Heard Near Assawompsett Pond
The witness was walking down a woods road when three loud knocks were heard from brush to the left. The witness knocked back on a pine tree and received a two-knock reply, followed by another striking sound from the opposite side. The witness later found a wooden club and holes near a pond, and found a pile of feces on the trail when returning the next day.
