The witness and five companions drove to an abandoned oilfield road at night to hang out and walked into the surrounding woods with flashlights. Two companions in front flushed something that had been lying on the ground and chased it through thick brush and across a creek, describing it as a man-sized black shape. After regrouping at their trucks, the group heard loud banging on the truck beds with no one visible, became frightened, and left the area.

About a week after objects were thrown at her door, the witness heard low vibrating cough-like tones followed by two to three sharper higher tones. Similar sounds answered from a different direction a few minutes apart. She states the sounds matched none of the local animals she knows.
Object throwing near Webster County
The witness's father and another man were arrowhead hunting near a pond at Number 7 near dark. They heard a roar-like sound and saw cut logs about 2.5-3 feet long being thrown from the woods through the trees to land halfway to three-quarters across the pond. The companion left for the car and later suggested beavers jumping from trees.
