The witness and a companion were hiking a loop trail when they heard a very loud, sharp knock from a steep hilltop above them. They stopped to scan the ridgeline but saw nothing due to dense vegetation. The witness then heard a brief sound of movement in the brush uphill before they continued back to the trailhead.
Knocks returned in the afternoon while hiking at Loew Lake
The witness and a relative hiked for about two hours looking for Sasquatch sign and photographed two possible stick structures. While heading back, the witness struck a stick to make wood knocks and heard replies that matched his signals, first one knock, then three, then rapid knocking. He answered with rapid knocks, after which the sounds stopped and further knocking got no response. Both individuals heard the exchange and thought it was either another person or a Sasquatch.
Possible encounter while hunting near Northfield Falls
On two November 2015 mornings the witness sat in a remote hunting spot before sunrise and heard close-range tree breaks and knocks followed by a scream/whoop vocalization shortly after turning off a light. Conditions were clear, cold and very quiet on both occasions. The witness, an experienced outdoors person, said nothing like it had happened before or since.

The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand on a hill at the edge of a field in the early evening. He saw a dark figure moving along the field edge and into a ravine about 60 yards away, walking upright on two legs, and heard something walking in the ravine. He first thought it was a trespasser but concluded it was not a person in camouflage.
On-going activity experienced by a family east of St. Louis
The witness and a relative were wood-knocking in the backyard at night. After the witness knocked five times, they heard a high-pitched chatter from one direction and a grumbling sound from another direction for about a minute. Additional knocking produced no further response that evening.
Possible vocalizations heard near Fredericksburg
The witness was visiting family property after a death in the family and walked to a truck late at night while relatives waited inside. She heard a distant howl she said did not match coyote, dog, or wolf sounds she knows. Relatives in the truck did not hear it because of coughing, and her sister later said she had heard similar sounds many times.

On the first day knocking followed, circled, and retreated from the witness while moving off-trail. On the second day knocking again preceded arrival at a clearing, where the witness heard a snort-like sound near rocks and had several stones thrown overhead until a rifle was assembled, after which the forest went quiet.
Howls heard on Buck Mountain, 10 miles east of Whitehall
A couple left the trail to take photos by a creek. They heard loud deep roaring, scream-like and growl-like vocalizations approaching from across the creek, along with large branches breaking, and believed something was circling them. After the sounds stopped they felt watched, fled down the trail, and heard a large animal tracking them along the creek.

They heard a very loud deep roaring and screaming vocalization approaching from across the creek, repeated several times, with breaking branches as it circled and then followed them as they fled. Frightened, they gathered their belongings and ran back down the trail while the animal tracked them from alongside the creek.
Vocalizations, heavy footsteps & tree shaking
The witness was standing in the yard at night when a hooting howl was heard from the treeline. Dogs ran toward the woods barking as brush and limbs thrashed along the edge and heavy thumping footsteps were heard. The witness followed the sounds along the treeline with a rifle before returning to the house and confirming a relative next door had not left home. The witness interpreted the sounds and movement as a sasquatch disturbed in the woods.
Campers have campsite visitor on two separate occasions near Campbellsburg
The witness and companions were camping on a hilltop overlooking a valley and creek. Late at night the witness heard heavy bipedal steps climb a steep slope, stop, then run into the forest, sounds the companions also heard. About two hours later the group heard a single very loud scream that briefly silenced forest sounds. Around 2 or 3 AM a companion awoke to see a large arm reaching through the van window for food, and food was found missing and spilled, with gouges seen on the slope the next morning.

The witness stopped a car by a wooded road to urinate. A hairy man-like creature approached to within three feet while snorting and grunting and holding a small limb-like object, then walked away. The witness fled in the car and saw the creature standing at the road edge in the rear-view mirror.

The witness reports hearing very loud howls coming from a forested area behind the home on multiple nights during one summer. Each bout lasted about 30 seconds, starting low then rising, and local dogs barked and seemed agitated during the sounds. The witness never saw the source of the sounds.

Shortly after, three of them watched a thick, dark, hairy biped stride across the road and down a bank into a cornfield. They ran inside to tell a relative, who laughed. The witness and two companions snuck out on a 4-wheeler into woods behind a house on a snowy night. They noticed a dead-like odor and heard monkey-like chattering, then saw a tall hair-covered biped walk toward them while growling. The group fled on the vehicle and on foot as the animal followed to within arm's reach without touching them, apparently driving them from the area.

In the early morning the reporter and one companion were awakened by loud, close wailing vocalizations followed by crashing vegetation, breaking branches and heavy thuds lasting several minutes. A third companion slept through the episode. The group left at dawn and found no physical signs.
Hunters hear night scream near South Boston
In 1981 the witness and a relative were raccoon hunting with dogs at night when they heard an extremely loud prolonged scream lasting about fifteen seconds. The dogs fell silent and ran back to the witnesses, with one staying between the witness's legs looking toward the sound. The witnesses loaded a gun, backed toward their car, and ended the hunt when the dogs jumped into the back seat.
Bicycling student has night encounter
Late at night the witness stopped under a streetlight while biking back to school to fix a brake. He heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching, then saw a white-haired gorilla-like creature about 20-25 feet away. The creature chased him briefly, moving bipedally and on its knuckles, before stopping, swaying, and climbing over a rock wall. The witness rode to a nearby house and waited until morning.

Late at night two companions were watching TV in a mobile home when they heard a noise at the front. The witness looked through the door window and described a large face peering in that then screamed and pushed away. Both went out the back and watched the figure step over a barbed-wire fence and run away hunched over with very long arms. A next-day search found no tracks, but they measured the door window at seven and a half feet above the ground.
Child encounters a man-like creature in a shed
As a child the witness hid in an old corn crib during a hide-and-seek game near a relative's house at sundown. Inside the dark crib the witness heard heavy breathing and saw a huge hairy man-like creature standing over them staring, with a hog-pen-like smell. The witness ran back to the house crying and reported the encounter to a relative, who did not take it seriously.
