10 July 2002 Leesville/Ft. Polk, Vernon County, Louisiana #1675

Loud sounds heard in the woods while on military maneuvers.

The witness and several companions were sleeping in an observation bunker during annual field training. Around 0200 the witness heard dogs running through the woods sounding frightened, followed by loud crashing and tree-snapping sounds in pursuit. The crashing stopped nearby and the group heard a loud snort. They did not see what made the sounds and did not hear it leave.

The Database of Unexplained Encounters. Claims are recorded as claims: the Anomadex catalogues what people reported, where it was reported, and how sure I am that it was read correctly. It does not rule on what they saw.

A quick ask from the person behind the Anomadex: if you allow analytics, Google Analytics shows me which places, phenomena and searches you're most curious about. That tells me which regions and sources to add next and what to make easier to find. It never sees your name or anything you send me, and nothing is set unless you say yes. Privacy
