Man sees, and scares away, a creature in the woods

The witness was out in fields to check stands and noticed a large unidentified figure by a creek. The witness got a rifle, approached to about 12 feet, and made eye contact after stepping on a twig alerted it. After the witness fired a warning shot, the figure made a throaty groan and left into the forest.

Woman and friends hear strange screams

The witness and companions were standing at the top of a canyon when they heard a strange, chilling screaming and wailing sound rising from below. The companions were described as lifelong hunters in the area who had never heard such a sound before and could not identify it.
