Strange occurrences outside a home lead to a daylight sighting by a father and son near East Canton
After hearing growls on two prior nights, the witness went with his son on a Friday afternoon to explore the tree line, field, and creeks southeast of the house. During the outing they noticed movement, a foul odor of rotten eggs and flesh, and then watched a large hairy biped standing about 100 feet away swaying and staring toward them. They left without running and heard two loud tree knocks after reaching the yard.

The witness camped alone on pine needles above old coal mines after companions left for the night. Around 3 a.m. he awoke feeling watched to dead silence, then heard loud ape-like screams from both ends of camp at intervals. He saw a very large hairy biped cross the camp about 20 to 30 feet away and felt its steps through the ground. He walked quickly out of the camp and ran to his parents' house once clear of the woods.

The next night the witness returned to the same camp with two companions, heard screams again around 3 a.m., recorded distorted audio, left when the screams stopped, and next morning found the cooler open, chips scattered, and bread bags pulled apart with no crumbs left.
