The witness heard repeated howls moving around the house in the early morning, starting close in the treeline and shifting to different sides of the property. After retreating inside, small rocks were heard hitting the porch roof for several minutes. The witness woke his wife and both heard additional more distant howls over the next hour before it became quiet.

The witness settled into a 6-foot ground blind before daylight to deer hunt. Something stepped over a nearby fence and approached with heavy footsteps, then breathed, sniffed and pressed down on the top of the blind. After the witness shouted a warning, the sniffing paused then resumed more aggressively before the visitor circled the blind and left toward the woods without being seen.

Over a couple months of visits to a small rural cemetery, the witness and companions repeatedly heard wood knocks surrounding them, logs or objects being thrown, and a walnut thrown back toward them. They also heard growls, hissing, grunts, yells and screams on separate occasions, and once heard a large unseen thing charge to the cemetery edge then go silent. They never saw the source, reported no departing footsteps, and described a persistent feeling of being watched and warned from entering the woods.
Odor near Shelby County (2008)
The witness was canoeing alone on the river in the afternoon and had to pull out to drag the canoe around a log jam. He smelled a terrible odor and was paced by something unseen that stopped when he stopped, then heard screaming, breaking limbs, and saw a large log thrown and trees violently shaking. He fled in the canoe to the center of the river.
