Pre-dawn sighting by a deer hunter in his truck near Elkhorn
The witness had parked his truck on a ridge road before dawn to deer hunt. After hearing coyotes, he got back in the truck and then saw a tall hair-covered human-like figure emerge from the woods beside the truck. The figure paused facing the truck, then walked around it and left down the point out of sight. The witness stayed in the truck until daylight, then found skid marks where it descended but no footprints.
Odor near Pike County (1994)
For six to eight months an elderly farmer and his wife reported nightly tapping that followed them room to room, shadows outside windows, a barn door torn open, missing dog food and missing outdoor dogs, and a low voice whispering the indoor dog's name. The responding deputy initially suspected neighbors, moonshiners or a grow operation, but later found a large hand-like dent in the house and an 18-inch footprint in the creek that he cast. The cast was later reported to show dermal ridges and to be considered authentic east of the Mississippi.
Family hears strange screams off Highway 54
The witness was mushroom hunting with relatives in a heavily wooded hollow when the group noticed a horrible smell with no apparent source. They returned to the car, and shortly after heard a loud scream that was compared to a panther scream. The group did not investigate and left quickly, in the context of known local Mo Mo sightings.
Creature seen stepping over four foot barbed wire fence near the town of Louisiana
The witness was walking alone east along a rural road at dusk when a strong foul odor appeared and a tall figure was seen at the edge of a pasture. The figure watched the witness, matched movements, and approached, then chased the witness who fled to a farmhouse porch. The creature eventually left toward the pasture with farm dogs chasing it, and the witness hid until a companion arrived.
