Strange incident while taking photos in the Lost Forty SNA
The witness was alone photographing old pines around noon when loud banging and knocking began after a car horn sounded. About 15 minutes later a large birch about 20 to 30 feet away was heard cracking, seen bending down and then springing back upright. The witness did not see any creature, feared an animal larger than a bear, ran back to the car, and inferred something had been in the tree watching.

Three people were fishing quietly from a boat near shore at dusk when they heard a loud scream from the treeline past a point. They then heard branches breaking and heavy bipedal-sounding footsteps moving up a steep bank, followed by a second similar scream. They saw nothing and left quickly for the boat ramp.

The witness was deer hunting from a stand when he heard an unfamiliar grunt. He watched a tall brown hair-covered figure approach to about 50 yards, yelled at it, and saw it turn to look before walking away toward cedars. He later returned with his father and estimated its height at about eight feet using nearby tree branches.
