The witness and her daughter were set up in the woods waiting for daylight while hunting. Right at daybreak they heard a loud sustained sound described as a combined howl, yell and growl three times, lasting about 30 seconds each, with coyotes vocalizing between the sounds. The witness was certain the main sound was not a coyote and both were frightened enough to leave.

The witness and a companion were night fishing when they heard rustling, snapping and thumping approaching from the woods. Something ran across gravel behind them, slapped the side of their parked pickup three times, and shook branches while heavy footsteps were felt. After reaching the truck to leave, they heard a loud, close, high-pitched unearthly scream and drove away quickly.
Two boaters experience possible intimidation behavior outside Madisonville
Two companions paddled a small boat up a remote swampy creek in the late afternoon. A large rock was thrown from the wooded bank and splashed into the creek ahead of them, after which one of them fired warning shots and they turned back. As they paddled back after dark, they heard heavy footsteps in the woods that stopped when they stopped paddling and resumed when they paddled, continuing until they reached the road.
Deer hunters have frightening nightime encounter near White Plains
Late at night while camping for deer season, a companion who walked over a hill to a creek reported seeing a tall figure drinking that then stood and watched him, prompting him to run back to camp. Moments later the rest of the group heard loud crashing through brush and saw the silhouette of a very large human-shaped figure with long arms running hunched over on the hilltop by moonlight and lamplight. The group then packed up and left the woods.

The witness walked down a creek bed on family land and stopped on the return uphill. The witness heard repeated high-pitched screams, first from thick woods ahead and later from behind. The witness saw a patch of dark fur by a tree and later the outline of a large head crouched behind a bush about 20 yards away. Frightened, the witness left quickly for the car without seeing the source again.
