Six people stood just inside the treeline after dusk talking. They heard two high-pitched screams from the woods about an eighth of a mile away. The group froze and then discussed the unfamiliar sound. The witness watched the treeline for the rest of the evening but saw and heard nothing further.

The witness and three companions were coon hunting at night with three hounds along a logging road beside a swamp. The dogs yelped in fear and ran past the group back toward the truck. The group heard a deep growl and loud limb breaking and wood knocking moving toward them from the swamp, then left the woods and found the dogs shaking in their boxes on the truck.

In 1979 while staying at the house, the witness and a relative heard prolonged eerie screaming from opposite directions for 10-15 minutes until the sounds met and fell silent.
