The witness brought a relative into a wooded valley at night to try tree knocking. After the witness knocked, several answering knocks were heard from the woods, including three immediate returns that startled the relative. No visual contact with the source is described.
Backyard nighttime sighting in a village outside Rome
The witness and her mother heard a whistle around 2 a.m. and went outside to check. From near their elevated pool deck, they shone a flashlight on an unknown figure with red eyes positioned just above deck level. The figure moved its head to avoid the light, then walked away while repeatedly looking back and briefly peeking from behind a neighbor's shed.

About two years before reporting, the witness was riding a bicycle with a companion on a rural county road near Calhoun, just over the line into Walker County. From woods bordering fields the witness heard several loud sounds like heavy wood knocks echoing. The witness first assumed construction in the woods but later thought the sounds could have been a Sasquatch because the area was only woods and fields. The companion did not notice the sounds and the witness has not returned to the area.
